Re: WCBF '09 Arrivals and Departures
Well with work issues on Wednesday night I had to go back in Thursday and finish up the sub station.
I got home from work around 1:30am and am not up to the 10 hour drive, I wont be making it this year
I'm pretty bummed out and wish I could be there for my first solo wcbf and to be able to help out in the repair arena, as it seems theres been a rash of troubles this year.
Hope the rest of the meet goes smooth and hugs all around, here's to next year

Well, we'll be headed out in a few hours. Driving all the way back home today. 850 miles or so. Thanks again to everyone who pitched in on the SuperCrankySLE to get it running in time to race. It was a blast as always and I am already making plans for next year! Everyone get home safe and hopefully all the Car troubles are behind us this year for everyone.

Re: WCBF '09 Arrivals and Departures
Well, the lottavagina family is home. We had a fun time.
The trip home turned out to be fun. Wendy was following me in the 2k and I was in the 89. A 2000+ grand prix was riding close behind her and acted like he wanted to pass. I slowed and told her to pass me and have fun. As she passed me, so did he. He then put on his left signal thinking he was going to pass Wendy and got fooled. She was doing a lot more than the speed limit and scared the crap out of her when she saw the speedometer.
She loved it and had the shakes when we got home.

Re: WCBF '09 Arrivals and Departures
I'm home! Thanks a billion to Celin and Keven for taking me home (and myfirstbonnie Matt for picking me up!). I scrapped the 94 to the logistics of fixing/towing her home. I know it sucks but I can always get something else. I'm safe and sound so that's the main thing. I'll post more about my car later. This was my first WCBF and it was a blast, anyone who's been to one can attest. Great people, great friends. Thanks to all who were there!

Well Celin and I are home. No problems getting home and Ray was great company. The back doctor is still in route and will be for a while. I need a vacation to recover from WCBF 09 and engine swaps. It was a blast as usual and already wondering about next year. Thanks to our host who made it as good as usual.
I let Ray drive my car and he really , really liked it...

Re: WCBF '09 Arrivals and Departures
Team Bugsi is still struggling to find its car-caravan pace. I'm fine for driving long distances at a time, but Heidi was struggling with it. We pulled out of the A&W off I-5 around 4:30pm, and by 10:30pm we'd made it to Yreka, CA. I was okay to go a few more hours, but it's not going to help if I'm still going to need to stop and rest later. It's hot and muggy out, so we checked the team into the Yreka Best-Western. We'll all be able to get a good night's sleep, showers, and food, and be fresh to hit the road for the remaining 6 hours of driving.
We'll keep Bill updated via SMS.

Add Matt, John, and Taylor to the 'on the road' list as of 30 minutes ago. I just saw them off.willwren wrote:John, Matt, and Taylor still scheduled to leave about 10am.

Forgot to mention Jordan (VBCSpangler) left about 10pm or so last night and arrived safely at home 3 minutes later.

So that leaves John and Margret, Thomas and family, and the Bugsi clan left if I am correct. Right?
