Actually I have the same situation as Celin and Keven, I have to decide whether to lead or follow Heidi's car. Ordinarily, I'd lead since I've done the trip before, but it's not like you can really get lost or anyting, and I like the idea of letting her get the speeding ticket out in front and acting as a bug-breaker!
(Yes, of *course* the guy named Bugsi thinks about who gets all the bugs on the windshield!) -Actually it was on my mind since I washed my car the weekend before last and now you can't even tell that I washed it, because of all the bug swarms I must have driven through to get my windshield as bugged up as it is. We'll be hitting the road tomorrow because we'll be spending today washing and cleaning out my car and packing. I've only had time to give Heidi's car a thorough cleaning & detailing, now it's time for MINE!
(and actually, the moniker "Bugsi" comes from Bugs Bunny.)
Added edit: If Mrs. Bugsi is going to be attending WCBF, racing her car at Woodburn, and hobnobbing with the likes of us, I figured she should have her own user account. She's usually avoids the computers in the house, but she does have one that's just hers, and on rare occasions she can be caught using email. So I officially set her up with her own membership; she is now officially new member: "nurseheidi".

Just finished washing the car. Moving on to detailing the engine bay and using bug-and-tar remover on the front end. Lots of bug guts up there! Then on to the interior, I'm going to have to steam clean, I had a cola go flying this week. Grrrrr.

Haven't even started on the cars, other than an oil change on the Zilla. Still have to do the SLEeper's oil, plugs on both, clean both inside and out. Still have rubber on the Zilla from last year.
Been busy working on awards the last few days.

I bet Bill does!! If not, a dealer or a parts store will. Or you could JB Weld it, and fix it later.

Re: WCBF09 July 19 - 26 - Corvallis Oregon
Worked all day cleaning my car: Washed, de-bugged, de-tarred, detailed the wheels and engine bay, vacuumed, steam cleaned, cleaned all the glass, it's looking good. I hauled out my spare taillights and washed them, in preparation for tinting at WCBF. Still have much to do. Working on electronics gadget projects tonight, wiring up fuse-box taps for the GPS units in both our cars, repairing the busted lighter plug on my AC power inverter, charging the 2-way radios, charging all the camera batteries and laptop computers.
One of our groups at work prints out a bunch of on-line coupons every day and leaves them sitting on a table. I walked by on Friday and found one for 25% off any one item at Sports Authority, where my wife bought our new tent for $187 the day before. I had to use a loupe to scan all the fine print to see if it fell into any of the exclusions, and other than "not good on previously purchased merchandise", I could find no exclusions. My reasoning is that if we just bought the tent 2 days ago, and have the receipt, I could (in theory) return the thing for a refund, then turn around and re-buy it using the coupon. My wife called the store and they said "no problem, bring in your receipt" -so she did, and we got another $47 off the price of the tent!
I don't think we're going to hit the road until Monday morning, but the wife thinks we're going to be able to take off tomorrow (Sunday) morning. I'm usually more correct on these things, so we'll see. If I wait until Monday, I can do a bunch more projects on the cars. We'll see!
The kids are being nightmares this evening. The little buggers need sleep. They're getting a bath right now, and it's kind of like bathing a pair of cats. Looking forward to getting out of here!

My trick with the kids: Keep up up and let them be sleepy for the road trip. They usually sleep most of the way.
The girls pretty much packed everything, I just had to remind them of everything to pack. I just had to do the running around town for everything we needed. I also had to make sure Wendy was all set up with her cigs and Diet Dr Pepper for the week.
I am outta here in a couple hours.

Bugsi, any remaining projects can be finished here. We have very little work scheduled. And a big TV for the kids while we do it (and a new kitten to keep them busy as well).
Just let us know in the other topic when you actually depart so we know when to expect you from the land of fruits and nuts.
