A day for Christine.

Post by JMH1950 »

Been out working on Christine since 7 am this morning.

Replaced exhaust pipe from resonator to muffler. It's nice having air tools.
Amazing how quiet my magnaflow muffler actually is now. :)

Replaced front rotors and pads, repainted the calipers, shined up the mags, inside and outside.

Took off the rear drums to check the linings. Still no appreciable wear on them. Wonder if they actually do anything? Painted the drums with high temp black paint, shined up the mags while they were off.

Washed and waxed her and when she's dry I'm going to take some pictures for some whoring.

I had to beat the drums with a mallet to get them off. Scraping the shoes all the way. They didn't need any adjustment.

Not yet. Muffler shops around this area seem to be a bit fussy, they either outright refuse or quote me a price that I find excessive.
I may wait and have it done a WCBF
