Re: tps removal
Just 2 screws on the throttlebody. Just remember when replacing it you want to set it to .4 - .5 volts at closed throttle and around 5 at wot. Some are not adjustable, but you still want to verify it is right.

its not the turning of the screws I'm concerned about, Its the getting to the screws thats my problemmyfirstbonnie wrote:Just 2 screws on the throttlebody. as for adjustment 93 and later is non-adjustable

Re: tps removal
Remove the Thermostat Housing... It will make it a lot easier to remove the TPS.. While you are there if you haven't already replace the thermostat and gasket with a 180...
Sqela... How soon do you have to replace the thermostat?

Re: tps removal
I didn't see this post soon enough but you didn't have to remove the TB.
Just use a pair of vise grips to loosen the two screw and then turn them out by hand. It worked for me.

Re: tps removal
I, too, have asked for tips on the best way to get to those screws...if only GM had rotated the throttle body design to make access easier...
I've removed the egr valve on mine - it was easy to remove and it helped alleviate the bloody knuckles. Lesson learned - don't even think about trying to replace the TPS while the engine is hot (ouch!).
It's also too bad GM didn't use self-retaining screws for the TPS and the IAC, but that's another topic.
The '93 TPS isn't adjustable like the '92 and older were, and you should be glad yours is a '93. Just install and drive...
