a hood should not be near the top of your shopping list... you literally have a million other issues to address. why don't you just mod the car the way it sits now and get the max realistic power out of it? nitrous? sure! a 50-100shot would most likely keep you happy.

cause i alredy have most of the supplies.
i need a hood to do this mod and its something i wanna try. like a project with my dad.
cause once i have 2 superchargers and the tranny where its not gonna blow up then i can tune it to whatever hp i want..
final shopping list:
bore (.020 i think)
twin sc setup and all required parts (smaller sc pulleys as well. at this point im unsure as to what size. right after i upgrade ill run stock and go from there)
intercooler
tranny upgrade
nos
hood + airintake
exaust (cat and mufflers.. twin 5 inch oval)
and exaust cut out
and finaly a nice straight black paint job and tinted windows

and maybe more space? i could use a little more of that ? haha :helpsmilie:
missing anything or see any issues feel free to sing out(and its not going to happen in that order.)

and the custom intake and stuff should be pretty cheap. this friend never lets us pay for anything he does. we mostly just exchange labor. (like he will weld up a custom solid steel workbench and we will fix / upgrade his truck/s)
so its starting to look pretty do able.

A stock supercharger can make more than enough PSI to blow a stockish motor.

If you're building a custom manifold it's probably better to go with a single Eaton M112 that two M62's. It'll be easier to build the manifold, make atleast as much boost, be easier to build a drive system for, and probably have less drag on the crank (less HP loss).

But its not as cool.

If you have 2 gen 3 m62's i would suggest getting a larger not smaller pulley to start off with. With 2 M62's you'll be pushing 124cu/in of air with every rotation of the superchargers. Thats already 34cu/in of air more than an M90. With the stock 2.8 pulley you'll be spinning both of those SC just as fast as the people running 2.8's on the M90 but you will be moving more than 33% more air than they are at a better efficiency.

The hardest thing with making the intake is going to be placement of the supercharger so that the pulleys will line up with the rest of the accessories and Idlers

"M90 but you will be moving more than 33% more air than they are at a better efficiency."
This is an incorrect statement. It will require more horsepower to spin 2 M62's than it will one M-90 with a 2.8 pulley. The M112 comment was right on.

Re: supercharger

I meant the superchargers would be operating at a great efficiency because they together wouldnt have to be spun as fast to move the same amount of air. So they wouldnt be heating up the air as much as a single M90 moving the same amount of air. Sorry for the confusion.

Look at the hp loss charts, it's more efficient to run a m112. That's all I was getting at. :beerchug:

I have an experimental intercooler Idea that might be perfect for this type of application. I just gotta build the prototype and test it. In theory it will be way more efficient than a water to air intercooler. It will be a pretty stealth system too.

They are laughing at the thread because they think this is not going to happen. And really it depends how bad you want it.
