Post your pics of your non-Bonneville, and If you have video footage, we want to see it. Videos must be hosted on external web space and hotlinked to PontiacBonnevilleClub.com. Also discuss mechanical problems regarding your non-bonneville (this is not another lounge, but posts don't count, random car vids not of your cars should be in the lounge)
Welcome to the world of boost!!! How long till the mod bug hits? I can see it hit hard on the bonne, lol.

Well, both Intense www.intense-racing.com and ZZP www.zzperformance.com have tons of parts for them. Most parts are actually made for the GP and us Bonneville guys use them and they work just as well.

It's very easy. On the nosedrive, close to the SC housing you will see an allen head screw that sits flush into the nosedrive. Open that up and it if is getting rancid (smells worse than skunk) it's overdue.
First mod I'd suggest is swapping the wheels from the Bonneville onto the GTP. That'd be HOT!!
Second, I would get the GMPerformance handling kit. Improves handling and steering response 100X. I picked a kit up for my buddy's 00 GTP Daytona when he was replacing all his struts and springs with new AC Delco parts and we installed the kit a month after the struts/springs.
Struts/Springs did great, but the GMPP handling kit makes him soil his shorts when he's having fun.

Thanks...when the sun is out, it really shines and almost turns into a different color.
Its a pretty useless boost gauge isn't it? Bar graph...lol
Yah, the DIC is a bit cheesy. Gotta love Pontiac for all of their electrical toys. I wasn't sure I'd like the HUD either but it's not too bad. If it gets annoying, I just dim it completely.

I love HUD, but I've never seen the GP HUD, so I don't know if it's better or worse than the Bonneville. 92-99 HUD is really low-tech compared to the 00+ though.
/random.

I'm sure I'll like it once I get used to it. I'm having some doubts that the DIC's displayed fuel mileage is correct. It says I averaged over 29 mpg from Cedar Rapids, IA to Columbia, MO. I'll do the old-fashioned "real" test myself and see what I get sometime.

The SE owners have to stay true....
AND SLE owners Josh. We don't get any boosted love either.

I have found one issue that I want to fix. Nothing major but, coming from Iowa, it does have some rust on the front lower control arms and rear trailing arm brackets. I'm not going to replace the front lower control arms obviously but the rear trailing arm brackets are only $5 from gmpartsdirect. I was thinking about just wire brushing them and applying some undercoating or POR-15. Would you guys just replace them? How difficult would that be?
I was very surprised by the front control arms. I figured they would be just like the Bonneville's which I believe are aluminum, correct? The GTP's are definitely not aluminum and look quite heavy in comparision to the Bonneville's. My Bonnie's control arms are spotless.
