I would have painted the whole rim black and did the red pinstriping a tad smaller.

what I found.

must be painted rims. with vinyl pin stripe. (well we know its vinyl pin stripe cause we see the roll on the ground)
so my guess is the stripe wont last long after a few cleanings.

No. What's the theme here, "My lugnuts have started to bleed?" The silver on the sides of the spokes doesn't match the body, the black just looks awkward, and I'm betting the red on the wheels doesn't appear anywhere else on the car either.

The more I look at those, the less I like the idea of painting GXP wheels at all. I think the black rim look is dead, unless it's on a black car. And even then, they really only look good if they have a polished lip, which obviously can't be done with GXP rims. They look good in the natural silver, and better in chrome.

they would look decent on a Black GXP but not too sure on a silver one would look awesome and a Black one with red racing stripes  like my dream SSEi would look

They're not bad, but it takes the right car to pull them off.

if the whole rim was black w/o the red stripe. i think it would look pretty good. maybe a gunmetal color would be cool too.

I want to see the rest of the car. Maybe the fit the "big picture"? By themselves, the red is too much.
