Prime example of why you shouldn't comment on tech questions unless you have experience with the part in question. I posted the same topic a couple years ago and got conflicting answers then too.

I'm a little confused here. You mention the tensioner pulley, and needing a new tensioner, which would be pulley #3. Is it the tensioner, or is it the idler pulley #8?

Re: SC idler pulley bolt - need confirmation
In my original posts, I had asked about the idler pulley, #8.
However, after shearing off the bolt for #8, I thought the bolt was forever stuck in the assembly and I wouldn't be able to get it out. Thats why I requested the entire tensioner assembly as a replacement.
But, everything is good now.

OK, thanks Andrew. Just trying to get a clear picture of it.

Re: SC idler pulley bolt - need confirmation
Got the new bolt installed today.
Somehow they ordered the 15mm head and not the torx head, so thats nice.
The part number for the reverse thread, 15mm head is 12537035 if anyone needs it, cost me $4.25.
Got everything back together, sure is nice to have BOOST!

Re: SC idler pulley bolt - need confirmation
I know I am pulling up a really old thread here but I just want to double check with everyone. My pulley #8 busted off, I bought a new pulley but the Torx head broke off, I got the rest of the bolt out but wanted to make sure the GM 12537035 hex head bolt will work in place of the torx. Thanks for any replies
