bald ones!

There are rims under the cardboard. I'm guessing chrome or polished GP wheels. Those are the same tires on my roommates GP GT.

Yep, they are pretty bald tires. They're Goodyear Tripletreds. Andrew figured out that I'm more concerned with what's under the cardboard. lol

These were for sale on the old BC... I started the purchasing right as we did the change over. They're not off a GP though.

those bald tires, as you put it, will still give him the entire summer ;)
triple treads have extremely high tread wear, 740
they still have 3/32 of tread left, so there pretty much grip tires :P

i cant wait to see my old rims go to good use :)

cheers josh :beerchug:

Thanks Mike! Yeah, should get me through the summer no problem. I did see tirerack.com saying they had 740 tread. I plan on getting new rubber soon, though. I'd need new ones for winter for sure! I just didn't want to have to buy tires right away when I bought the rims, so I am glad they have some life left. That way I'm not completely broke all at once. lol

The tires for the front wheels actually have decent life left in them (the ones in my trunk). I'm betting Mike had the tires labeled for the rear on the front of his car at some point - and showed off his mini v8! (see a previous thread of his  )

i actualy never really did a big burnout with those tires,
just 2 years, 32 passes at the track, and close to 300hp at the wheels

but they lasted that long! :beerchug: :beerchug:

Would you buy another set of them? Are they worth the price? I'm considering just putting new tripletreds on once it gets closer to winter...

yes i would :beerchug:

I'm getting them again,
they are pricey,
but well worth it,
they grip better than any tire I've used in the winter

im gettin 245/50 tho, instead of the stock 235/55

i need a wider tire for da oober gripin zoom zoom power :P

although, ive been considering eagle f1 all seasons

there a little more, but i hear they perform the same as the trips in snow/rain/ice,
but better in dry conditions then the trips

idk yet, i have a few months

Your car will look awesome with the wheel upgrade. What are you doing with the old wheels?

Cool, thanks Mike, I will just get them again then. I've always bought Goodyear in the past. No reason to stop now.

Radomir, I'll probably end up selling them. Interested?

I've seen some people here using stock wheels for the winter. Couldn't help but wonder if you would do the same. Now that you're selling them, I am a little interested. :)

Well, I do realize a lot of people do that. I don't have a good place to store an extra set wheels and tires. Average people that have those wheels around here leave them on all year, and I haven't seen a messed up set yet. So, I guess I'm throwing caution to the wind and just gonna keep the 1 set. I'll PM you if I decide to post up the old set for sale.
