Went to the parts store to get a new set of exhaust manifold gaskets and they no longer listed the older design anymore. They're now only selling this newer thing that appears to have some sort of guard there to prevent leaked valve cover oil from touching the exhaust.

Not that I have a problem with it or anything, but was this really the solution that they put together in the most recent recall?

new on right, old on left.

These are both felpro gaskets. I bought the one's on the left in the summer and the one's on the right yesterday after wrapping the exhaust on the GP.
It looks like the new design has slightly smaller holes, but they have more of the "D" shape to them.

Nvm, looks like I had just looked up the part for the camaro this time instead of for the L67. I had no idea that the two were different until now.

Real question now though is which one is better? lol

Don't use the Camaro one if you did any porting. Also, they will overshadow the ports if they aren't aligned perfectly. I just used the round MLS style ones on my Camaro when I put the headers in.
