Does anybody know part number # maybe which dual tipped outlet model muffler by Flowmaster will fit a 1997 SE.I put a high flow Hogan downpipe and high flow cat and a SSE factory muffler dual outlet style on but the baffles keep breaking inside the muffler so I thought I would try a Flowmaster Any help would be great

Hello, if you changed the cat, you should know the diamater of the outlet intermediate pipe. Flowmaster probably have universal units with different diamaters to fit a wide range of cars.

Check their site ...................http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/searchfmm/search.php

I believe the dual outlet camaro muffler uses the same hanger spacing and inlet/outlets as the dual tipped Bonnevilles. I would search thru those to find a compatible match.

Gordy is right. The F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) crossflow Muffler is the one you want. I'll warn you that the Flowmaster sounds rather tinny and poppy, while the Magnaflow is a bit more of a mellow growl until you wake it up for a roar.

They are distinctly different sounds behind a 3800.

I have the Magnaflow on my 97SE and it sounds wonderful.

Magnaflow 12266 is the "aluminized" version, 14266 is the stainless.

You can hear it on the video in this post:

I'm glad you like it and that muffler won't change it's tone or loudness as the miles rack up. I have 200k on my Aero Chamber mufflers and they sound the same today as they did when I put them on. I love the deep tone that they have, I can set off car alarms in parking lots because of that low deep tone and it's not loud.
