I just got my 04 SLE last Saturday with the stock 235/55/17 tire size on it.

I think the car would look much better with some bigger rubber on it, while still staying with a 17" rim.

The best I could come up with was a 255/50/17 to keep the stock diamater, I was looking for a something a little wider especailly for the back.
(Yes I know it's a front wheel drive car)

Figures I have some 275/40/17's laying around that went on my mustangs, but their almost 2 inches to short and leaves a serious 4x4 look.

Any suggestions???

That's about as good as it's going to get. An inch wider will be noticeable.

Anything over 255's will rub on the strut, and those might even rub.

Just to make sure you have the right diameter, check this page out -- http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

That is also in our Links page at the top of the screen in the banner

I went from 225 to 245 on the Zilla and noticed a big change in how it looks. Especially when the two Bvilles are parked side by side, even with having gone from 225 to 235 on the SLEeper.
