First off, this is an intermittent problem that doesn't seem to have a cause. Sometimes after I'm driving and I put it into park and sit there, my dash lights including center console and headlights turn on and off. Sometimes they simply turn off and sometimes they flicker fast and other times it's like Moores code. If I manually turn on lights they work. Or if I switch it into gear they come back on. Also notable is my aftermarket radio stays lit.
Only test I could do was for alternator and they said it runs great. Totally lost on this one.

There could be a corroded and loose ground bar. You may want to check your battery connections etc. Just a chance. I looked up how to and found a loose ground. That solved my electrical problems.

Note if you pull the injectors to obserbe fuel delivery...make sure you leave the plugs in and disconnect the ign. Believe me

Any idea where to start? Where are ground bars?

You could do a search and find out where they all are. The one I had problem with was under the molding that runs along the bottom of the driver door

So far I am problem free now after replacing the battery. Apparently the ignition system tests didn't catch that the battery was running at only 440 cca instead of its sticker value of 770. But the problem was intermittent so ill watch it for few more weeks.

I have had the same problem. When out of PARK, everything worked fine. In PARK, my headlamps would randomly turn off and my dash lights would illuminate to full brightness. I made attempts to track this down for a very long time, including swapping the Dash Integration Module. Finally it happened again when I coincidentally bumped the Twilight Sentinel control. From what I can tell it seems to be related to a dirty potentiometer in the control. I purchased a new one from my dealer and have never had a problem since. Looking back it seems to make sense since this does tie into the the applicable lighting circuits and how they function.

Intermittent problems are a real PITA!
