Ok, I've run the wires into the car from the mirrors and they are ready to be wired in...wherever they should be.

First, does positive/negative matter in this application.

Second, where should I wire in, I heard rear defroster but where would the wires be specifically at the easiest to get to location, bear in mind my carpet and bottom of interior is gutted at this point.

I know they're run off of the same circuit as the rear defrost. The relay maybe?
