?

I have work in 1/2 hour and I just checked my car's fluids when I noticed the supercharger belt was not on the pulleys. I also saw that one of pulleys looks like it was smoothed out.

Will it hurt the car in any way if I drive w/o the supercharger belt?

No, it will be fine. You won't have boost, but it will be fine.

The best way to answer this question is by speaking to both Series in the interest of safety so that others don't misunderstand.

91-95 L67's CANNOT run without the supercharger belt, as it also drives the water pump.
96 and newer L67's CAN run without the belt, but at reduced power and efficiency.

I answered for his car. It is good to post both, though, so S1 owners don't go w/o a belt and overheat.

Especially when the topic author's username indicates a Series 1.

be prepared for extremely poor mpgs on your delivery route. I am literally getting 1/2 the fuel economy in town w/o the belt as I was with it. I have to yank the motor mount to get the idler pulley that's in the mount. Just waiting for a 20* day so working outside isn't so miserable.

Had a friend of mine look at it. Apparently the idler pulley failed. It appears that the bearing got really hot and melted the pulley causing it to fail....

Go to NAPA, get a steel idler replacement. That'll be the last time it happens to you.
