I'm trying to install a hockey puck mount setup on my engine but I ran into a problem while trying to take the old mount off. As I tried to unscrew the bolt from the top of the motor mount the bolt broke inside the mount causing the screw just to keep turning without unscrewing. I tried unscrewing underneath the frame that it's mounted to but it keeps turning as well with out unscrewing. I tried really hard yanking and pulling but with no success.

Anybody have and tips to get taking this darn old motor mount off?

Support the engine/trans with a jack and remove the 3-15mm studs and remove the bracket from the car so you can work on the bench. You might end up just having to cut it off.

Thanks for the reply.....I did remove the 3 studs from the trans so I can yank and pull I was hoping I didn't have to do that but I may need a dremel or a grinder to saw the screw off. There is not enough real estate though to get between the engine mount and the frame of the car to saw it off.

If you put the bracket in a vice and then put an angular pressure on the mount and use an impact on the nut, it might break free. Otherwise you will have to cut it.
