So, I've got transmission issues. I'm planning on dropping the subframe and replacing shift solenoids and other solenoids and sensors inside the side cover.
I've got a couple of questions. I can't find a video that's specific to my '01 SSEi, but was wondering if a video for an '01 Monte Carlo SS is reasonably close to the same side cover removal.
I guess I'm looking for a video, and estimated time of the project and a list of parts to replace while I'm in there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did it correct the problems you were having?
I've got 250,000 miles on this thing, but figured a hundred bucks and a days work to attempt to repair the problem might be worth trying before replacing the transmission.
I value your opinions guys and will thank you in advance for whatever wisdom you can share.

is your fluid dirty or smell charred? If so, it may need rebuilt. Check pan for debris. If you elect to do so, Shift Technology Products offers correction kits for this transmission. One for valve body and another for the forward band (it's a lighter spring) to prevent slide bang.
