Took the buick to the track

so i took the buick to the track on friday. the weather had been threatening all day, and finnaly opened up on us around 3:30. it cleared up and dried out just in time for a good night of racing, but i guess people were scared off. only about 25 cars showed up for the test and tune. on a normal night of racing i'll get 5 runs. last friday i got 18, and i left and hour early.

ambient temp was 87 degrees, and very humid.

towards the end of the night i started sitting rounds out, trying to get the car to cool down, hoping that with a cooler motor and the cooler ambient temps, i'd hit the coveted 15.9 mark, this however was not to be. the car just wouldn't cool down enought in the time alotted. finally a honda exploded and proceeded to spread oil all the way down the track (seems to happen every time) and shut the track down for cleanup. i decided to head home rather than wait for the track to re-open.

Not bad, not bad at all!
A bit cooler night would probably allow you a 15.9 run.

I still want to get the '93 out sometime and see if the new powerplant will do any better, however we're fighting a pretty bad misfire issue.

Marik is beating me up about those 1.8 YT rockers... I know he wants to put them to some use...LOL
