Headlight aiming
My headlights are pointing low and left it appears, and I would like to get them aimed right. Is there a specific way to do it other than park a ways back from the garage door and adjust them until they look right?

Re: Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum
I put General Altimax HP's on my 2000 SLE. I have about 3K miles on them and love them. I live in western SD where winter performance is a must have for tires and these deliver. Wet roads are no problem. They feel like studded tires if there is any snow on the road and do pretty well if it's icy too ...

Re: ? for the folks in cold climates
I threw a new 195* thermostat in last night before I headed to work. The old one was definitely stuck open, smacking it on the work bench wouldn't even get it to pop loose and close. In the couple miles to work it got to about 200* and stayed there. It's a balmy 16* this morning so we'll see how it ...

Re: ? for the folks in cold climates
Sounds like I'll pick up a new thermostat when I get some free time. We'll see how that works and I might end up with cardboard also. It will get to well below zero here in the coming weeks. I know I'm not leaking or burning any antifreeze off, I did the LIM gasket replacement deal a couple of ...

? for the folks in cold climates
It's dipped down into the teens and 20's here finally and my car doesn't really get warm. According to my temp gauge, in my 5 mile drive to school in the morning it might hit 150*F. Driving around town it will rarely get above 160* and on the interstate for 4 hours miiiiight get to 200* if it's ...

What kind of mileage do you get with your 00+ Bonneville?
With my 2000 SLE, around town I usually get 18.5ish mpg running 87 octane 10% ethanol blend gas. On the interstate I average 27 or so if it's not windy. This is generally driving pretty reasonably, no drag car launches from stop lights or anything.

Re: *Update* Got my receiver install done finally w/ pics
Very nice! I wasn't aware JVC made an all red display anymore. I love their decks they have worked very well for me in the past. Is the box of ammo for taking care of the stock deck when you're done? :uzi:
How's it all sound? If any, what other stuff you have installed?

Service Manual or Early Service Manual, difference?
I've been looking for a service manual for my 2000 SLE, and I've seen some of both on Ebay. There are 2 volume sets of the Early Service Manual, and also some that just say Service Manual and are either one or two books.
Whats the difference between the two? Is one better than the other or does it ...

Re: Got one part of my receiver install done today.
I'd like to keep it under $300 for sure, and hopefully under $200. The biggest points for me are red lighting and a rear USB input. I looked at the Alpine iDA-x100 today but it doesn't have any way to adjust the EQ settings without getting some add on box, and it didn't come with Bluetooth without ...

*Update* Got my receiver install done finally w/ pics
I have a 2000 Bonneville SLE without a CD changer or XM or anything, so no way to hook up my Mp3 player besides the tape adapter or an FM transmitter. I used the tape adapter for about 3 weeks until the tape deck in my radio crapped out, and then I switched to the Zune FM transmitter. It worked, but ...

Re: turtle wax black box
I used it yesterday. It definitely helped, the hazy look on my trunk lid is gone and the paint looks a little better. It would probably be a lot better if I used a buffer instead of doing it by hand.
I dont have a before pic, but I took this one today.

Nope, no XM module or cd changer. It looks like I may be able to use the Ipac-OEM if I can find a cable to convert from the universal auxiliary input plug to a 3.5mm headphone jack...

That would be ideal, but I haven't been able to find anything for the Zune like there is available for the Ipod.

Where can I find a radio wiring diagram?
Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for the stock radio in a 2000 Bonneville? It's the combo cd/tape deck one.
My tape deck broke. It was my only way of hooking up my mp3 player other than the fm transmitter, so now I'm looking for other ways to hook it up.

I put Pioneer 3-ways in mine. They sound great even off of the stock radio.
