Re: Shop charge to replace the main engine harness
No fire, and no vermin under the hood. The main harness had a short in it that caused #1 cylinder misfire. I replaced it on Friday in about 4 hours while sipping on a beer and talking to the neighbors. I was just wondering how much a shop would have charged.

Shop charge to replace the main engine harness
I was just wondering what a shop charges from the book, and the hours listed to replace the main engine wiring harness on an 03 Bonneville SE.

Re: mis-fire nightmare/im stumped
Glad you likely have gotten it all figured out.
Your experience with paying a shop to diagnose it is the type of experience that motivates many of us from paying for diagnoses.
If the mechanic was worth his salt, it would have been money well spent but, unfortunately, you usually don't know until ...

Re: Water build up in tail lights
I would check with Andrew at Bonnevilles Unlimited, my 03 SE had a bad tail light problem and the center reflector was bad also. I got all 3 pieces from Andrew from a GXP for a good price delivered.

Re: Intermittent PO301 code
i think I may have this problem tracked down to the crank position sensor being flaky. Sometimes when starting the car with crank briefly and stop. Almost like years ago before there where sensors and the starter was going bad and hung up. Then you hit the key again and she starts up without a ...

Re: Intermittent PO301 code
It has a 33% chance that the same plug went back into the #1 cylinder. As far of the overheating part goes, I couldn't tell you what the girlfriend did while I was working out of town all the years we had it. God only knows what her daughter did to it either, she use to sneak out at night and take ...

Intermittent PO301 code
I have a 2003 Bonneville SE with about 155k on it, for the last year it has pretty much been sitting since it decided to have a misfire on #1 cylinder. The codes that it had thrown in the past are PO301 and PO201 #1 Injector circuit open. The first mechanic down in Louisiana said it was a dirty MAF ...

Looking for a part or part number
I'm looking for the part or a part number on a Bonneville SE dash board. I have the bezel for the dash board where the HUD switches go for the cars equipped with those, what I'm looking for is the rubber insert that goes inside the bezel. It sits next to the headlight delay, fog light on off switch ...
