Re: Pic of plugs :(
I'd check the gap, it looks a little large and the tips look a little eroded, but it doesn't look like they've failed prematurely.
Not eroded, those are the iridium plugs that have the tiny electrodes. They look good to me. Do you know how many miles are on them? I would check the gap and clean ...

The wife drives the Enclave, the Regal is mine, I am teaching the daughter to drive in the 96 Cutlass. It is her car, but we carpool to work while she is learning. Once she gets her license, I will drive the Regal full time and not have to get to work early everyday.

Car seat is for grandkids. We never got to getting a travel trailer and we wanted a house more. Maybe later we will get something, but the Enclave is now the travelling wagon.

When was the last time it had a good tune up (plugs and wires), MAF cleaned etc? Has the regular maintenance been kept up?
If so, I would start looking at either a bad ignition control module or crank position sensor. You can go to a local JY and get an ICM or two pretty cheap and only takes 10 ...

Got rid of the 04 Sierra (now with pictures)
We traded the truck in for a 2015 Buick Enclave (yeah, old age is setting in and I drive a fleet of Buicks). This is the wife's DD and I take over the Regal full time. The sad thing is right now I am driving the POS Cutlass Supreme while teaching the daughter to drive.

On mine, I removed the glass when installing and removing the sunshade. Did you have the glass out when installing the sunshade?

Re: Sun shade removal and install question
Do you mean you cannot get the sunshade in or the glass?
Most of the fabric for the sunshade is thicker than what GM used. It takes a little more effort to get it in and it will be a little harder to slide back and forth when in.
Here is Andrew's write up on the headliner and sunshade:

People went to crows because they were cheaper. There was a period where they had a bad run or something. After I broke a spring with 10k miles on it, I looked elsewhere. Have almost 30 on the Comps with OR rods and no issues at all.

Congrats!
I was having the same issues. On street tires the same thing, spinning. I got a best of 13.91 on one pass. I know with slicks it could be a lot better.
Looking forward to seeing more of these from you.

Re: Took the Regal on a trip
I do not regret getting this car (statement not really needed knowing we traded a 4 cylinder Accord for it).
It is fun and quick if you know how to do it. I have watched many Youtube videos of people launching it and saying how it sucks. To me, you just have to learn how to drive and know what to ...

Re: Oil pressure low when idling
IMHO, I would buy a new sender and replace it and see what it does. I have seen them fail both ways (high and low).
Also, what Don was trying to say was to remove the cap where you pour the new oil in. Then using a flashlight, look in there while the engine is running and see if there is oil pooled ...

I am running the 105# Comp Cams springs. I only went to them after losing a motor due to a Crow spring breaking.
