My driver side front window would not roll all the way back up yesterday morning. I can hear the motor turn briefly before it gives up, but I couldn't get it to budge the window at all and I didn't want to risk lowering it any more.
Ended up ordering a replacement regulator on amazon for $80. I did ...

Re: time for a thermostat
I forgot to ask....will I need to reset the code after replacing the thermostat or will it reset itself after a short time driving?

Re: time for a thermostat
Love the vise grips!
Last 2 cars I changed thermostats on there was no problem with coolant loss... no biggy though I'll just wade in and make a mess.

time for a thermostat
Driving home tonite on the highway the Service Engine light came on and stayed on.
It's been colder lately and the engine hadn't been heating up all the way, so I figured the thermostat was sticking partially open.
Pulled the codes at Autozone and sure enough it was a P0128- coolant temp always ...

Re: Interior Lights not working...
I have the same issue. Replaced the fuse and it worked for awhile, then noticed a few days later the lights were out again.
After reading a bunch I decided to try disconnecting the driver side sunvisor wiring. Haven't gotten to it yet as it involves dropping the headliner in front to get to the ...

Re: Success!!!
Well, I half expected it, but after 2 days the interior lights blew the fuse again.
This weekend I will probably drop the headliner and disconnect the driver side sunvisor. Not sure I have much hope for this as I don't see how the missing vanity light panel could cause a short in the unit. The ...

Yup...thanks for confirming the red reflectors don't light up. Almost makes me want to mod them to light up<grin>.
Checked after dark and all interior lights come on when unlocking the doors and then fade out after starting the car.
I love it...surprising just how much the little things matter ...

Success!!!
My first venture into repairing some minor problems on my 2002 SLE was a raging success.
Got in a replacement left rear window regulator($60 with shipping on ebay.)
Installed it today and the window now works great!

Re: MPG chat
Just put 1100 miles on an 02 SLE during a little trip to Missouri and back.
I average 26.5 mpg on my daily commute(50/50 hwy/city) and was hoping for 30 mpg on this trip.
Averaged 28.2 on the way there and 28.8 on the way back. I was cruising pretty much between 70-80 mph with AC on and ...

Window regulator
Left Rear Window hadn't been going down since I got this 02 SLE a month ago.
Yesterday I decided to look into it and slammed the door while holding the down switch. It went down!
Then it wouldn't go back up.... 8^)
So I tore the door panel open and pulled out the regulator. Typical problem with ...

I'd hate to see what they charged for the rear mount(s?).

Re: vibration felt thru the gas pedal at 70mph
Had the car over by a mechanic. Wheel hubs are showing no play. Front motor mount is needing replaced. All other looks clean. Mechanic said the vibration is most likely the mount.
Got a quote of $250 to have it replaced(along with some other minor items).

Re: LIM gaskets
Got 2 quotes to get the LIM gaskets, UIM, and coolant elbow done. $555 and $594.
Not too bad really. Both estimates were 3.3 hours - $313 labor.

Re: LIM gaskets
Cost me roughly $400 to get the lower intake gaskets done on a 97 Intrepid.
What is a the running average for doing the LIM gaskets and UIM on a Bonny these days?
From what I read the Felpro aluminum gasket is the best way to go. Possibly the updated GM part. How about the UIM?
