Re: help! possible spun rod bearing?
Yup, that's pretty much what it sounded like. Although after it sat for a day it didn't make a noise until we gave it a little gas it drive it up on the trailer. Dad said a buddy that runs a wrecker/ body shop is coming over tonight to look at it. I would get a video for ya guys, but I'm around 4.5 ...

Re: help! possible spun rod bearing?
He is going to dolly it down to me so I can get my stuff out of it, then we are checking the oil then take it back home. I think we are going to go ahead and just get an engine from a jy, since this is the only car I have and kinda tight on money as of right now

help! possible spun rod bearing?
While I was driving down to school last night, my car acted like it didn't really want to shift at one point. So I let off the gas and just kinda cruised then it was fine, little bit later my car revved from about 1.5-2k up to 5-5.5k for no reason. I slowed down and checked gauges, noticed I had no ...

dash "mod" for double din
I apologize if this has been beat to death, but I have a double din for me 00 sle and I trimmed up the dash a little but the hu still sticks out and kinda looks bad. I was wondering what all you guys with double dins have done to make yours look as stock as possible, such as what all you trimmed and ...

Re: "rebuilt" supercharger
That was a good read, although it has decided to rain all day so I didnt get to detail it. So I decided to hook up my 4 channel amp which has gone smooth up until the front doors. Also a friend of mine just bought the supercharger and said the car was a 92, so I think I avoided a headache there.

Re: "rebuilt" supercharger
It has been a thought. A family friend that runs a wrecker service/body shop/car lot (where I got mine) had a 02 ssei with a blown motor that I was told I could use as a parts car but I was at college, guess I should see if he still has it or not. Plus it was black instead of my weird dark blue

Re: "rebuilt" supercharger
I have thought about doing a top swap on it. If I get this sc it might help motivate me to do it, I also have friends with SSEIs and GTPs so a spare can't hurt any lol.
I plan on looking at it tomorrow so I will check the pulley and the year for sure

"rebuilt" supercharger
I can buy a supercharger from a local junk yard for around $50, the guy at the yard told me that it has been rebuilt but I haven't saw it and even if I did see it I wouldn't know what to look at. Said they just recently got the car in, owner told him it was rebuilt recently but the bottom end of the ...

bad rear shocks or compressor?
I just got back to college and a few days after unloading stuff out of my car I noticed it wasn't sitting right. The next day i noticed it was a little lower and noticed the compressor didn't kick on... I plan on replacing shocks anyway this weekend, but where should I start checking for the ...

heated seats
Walking around a local junkyard today i saw something and got an idea, and wanted to see if you guys thought it would work. I found a 2002 sle with heated seats, and wondered if or what all i would have to do to make them work in my 2000 sle without heated seats

Re: cai or gutting stock? how to gut stock?
That's kinda what I was leaning towards, I like how it still has the stock look to it too. Thing is how do you go about gutting it? I saw pictures in another thread but mine looks different than the one showed.

cai or gutting stock? how to gut stock?
So one of my friends tried talking me into buying a cai to my 2000 sle today, i decided not to but have been thinking about it. I wondered what you guys thought. I saw mention of gutting the air box, sounds like it would work for now but I'm not sure on what exactly it is. I plan on getting the fwi ...

pesky security light
I'm not too sure where I should have posted this, so it's here. When I left work tonight my 2000 sle started a little rough then when I look at the dash my security light is on. A little awhile later my guages shut off, like didn't read anything. They turned back on but light is still on, it has ...
