Smoking wheel hub?
Would anybody be able to give me any direction on what could be causing the drivers side front wheel to vibrate and the hub to heat up to the point it smokes? When I am driving it the brakes seem to be working normally. My first thought was that the brakes were hanging up, but that doesn't seem to ...

Re: Starts and dies at cold start-up
Well I found the vacuum leak! Throttle body mounting gasket was the culprit. Everything cleaned up, gasket replaced, O-ring on the IAC valve replaced and.... it ran great for a few days. Now it wont hold a steady idle at all. In park in races between sputtering and dying to almost 2000 rpms. WTH?!

Re: Starts and dies at cold start-up
I cleaned the idle air control valve, lost the little ring thing off it though. Still running rough and trying to die at start-up, only now it idles erratically once it does decide to stay running. Guess I will replace the iac valve now! I've double and triple checked every apparent vacuum hose, are ...

Re: Starts and dies at cold start-up
does yours first stutter when you step on the gas? Like there is a delay in it wanting to stay running?

Starts and dies at cold start-up
I've been fighting a several month long battle with this car and need some input. On cold start-ups it starts, runs for 5-10 seconds and dies. It takes several tries to get it to stay running, and when it does, the exhaust smells terrible. Codes read as MAF reading low- I have replaced it twice and ...

Re: Numerous running issues!
Yes the idle does improve when its warm. I have already replaced the boost control solenoid and the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets where replaced a year ago, but not sure with what kind. There is a small leak in the front valve cover gasket, is that a bad enough :dontknow: issue to cause ...

When I'm driving its at 80, drops to 40 when I stop, so which is normal? Or is it normal to vary?

Numerous running issues!
Ok I need some guidance as to the next step I should take to try and some running issues. First issue: Dies the first few times I start it when it is cold. Scan said something about low MAF reading. Unplugged MAF sensor, still dies. Replaced MAF sensor, still dies and throws the code, even though ...

Re: Almost no boost, code PO243
Ok, so I've tracked down a way to diagnose that (love google lol). Now is that a part that can be replaced on its own or is it something bigger like the whole supercharger that will have to be done?

Re: abs and traction controll problems
That is the exact same battle I have been fighting with mine for two years. I can tell you with mine that tires, wheel speed sensors, tie rods, wheel bearings, and many other various parts have not rooted the problem. I just unplugged the yaw sensor yesterday to kill the whole system out of sheer ...

Re: YAW sensor
Well the winning location is... behind the drivers side speaker in the trunk! Would have never found it without the picture though, so thank you for providing me with that! It is unplugged and mush less of a hassle to drive. Leads me to another thought though... when I did locate the sensor, it was ...
