Re: Another brake thread

That much I did see. I guess I should have been a little more clear. Where does the $20 price difference come from?

Another brake thread

The Impala is in need of new brakes. I did some research here and see that Napa Ultra Premium rotors and pads are supposed to be good.

Now I'm wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between these two rotors:

Excuse the dumb question, but does the compressor properly cycle?

Re: Window regultator?

They are vertical scratches, probably between 5 and 10 on each window. They are in a group more towards the center and maybe 12 inches long at the most. I'll see if I can get a picture of them tomorrow.

Re: Window regultator?

I had the door panel off but not the water shield (don't have any adhesive to put it back on with) today and looked around. I couldn't see anything, but the weather stripping for the outside of the window was kind of dirty so I cleaned it off good. I can't hear any scratching now so that may have ...

Window regultator?

The front windows in my Impala are getting scratched when I open and close them. Is this a sign of regulator failure or is it more likely that I have a stone or two stuck in there?

Re: how did you get your beloved Bonneville

So I went and took em both for a spin and decided that I don't need a truck every day....and...well I guess you can figure out how that ended.

I really respect that. People that use a truck for commuting and grocery-getting really bug me. Four-door short beds especially.

Thanks. Another factor ...

Re: how did you get your beloved Bonneville

Summer of 07, I was set on buyin myself a pickup truck. One day, my Mom, sister and I went to a dealership to look at one that I found on the internet. There must have been some issues in the listing because it wasn't there....but they did have an 05 Impala SS. The sales guy told us to take it for a ...

Well in that case, I think I'll take it back into the auto shop at school and see if I can get it scanned again.

Re: How to supercharge a NA 3800?

There is info on that here somewhere. But if the car is an SS it should already be supercharged. If it's not, you can put in an L67. But it would be far easier to buy a stock supercharged car.

Trosuble codes

What would be the best place to get trouble codes pulled? I don't really want to go to a shop and pay 30 or $40 to have 2 minutes worth of work done. One guy was say the O'Rielly's might do it. What about Autozone?

This is the reason for it: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php ...

Re: ABS issue-update

I should have stated that it wasn't me using the Tech II, but an automotive instructor at the tech college I go to. I would hope he knows how to use it.

Edit: He said the only thing the Tech II told him was that I recently had excessive wheel spin.

Re: ABS issue-update

Since about the middle of December, my traction control system and ABS has been disabling itself every so often while driving. I had a Tech II hooked up to it a while ago and hooked up a code reader today. Both times, no codes were present. Any ideas?

A lot of us have Goodyear Assurance Tripletreads and are very happy with them.

And when you do your spark plugs, buy something like this. It's very helpful.

Thanks guys. We love the little buggers anyway. I will say though, I think it looks better now than it ever did. Just sucks that the old seat really isn't worth anything.

It was for sale with 540 miles, Joe. You don't find that every day.

Just like said above, the Mountain Cat is amazing in all kinds of conditions and terrains. You can literally sit on top of powder and be able to take off, no matter how deep.

Re: Potential drippage problem

I bought the car in 2007 as a certified used vehicle. I'm not sure what is in the corner of the windshield. I'll need to look in the morning. Yea that is an antenna for On-star, but I felt around the bezel and it was dry.
