Re: Popping/banging turning right
I had a intermittant loud pop coming from the right front wheel when I was turning into my driveway. I changed all kinds of stuff, wheel bearing, CV axle, struts, tie rods, and I was still getting the pop. Turned out it was the lower ball joint that is affixed to the lower control arm. I replaced ...

I have a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SE with 185,537 miles on it currently and have never had any problems with the transmission and have changed the filter and fluid every year. I just changed it again a month ago. I drive about 70 miles round trip to work every day with about half of it at 70 MPH. On ...

Awesome! Thanks! Looks like more than I want to tackle with the seat covers being as old as they are. I will bring it by the upholstery shop in town and see if he will be willing to swap the belt mechanism out for me.

Engine stumble at startup
2002 Pontiac Bonneville SE with 178,000 miles. Just recently the car has started acting up. Ive noticed the engine stumbling on startup after I have driven it and reached operating temperature. It seems to do it more when the nose of the car is pointing up on an incline than flat. It spits and ...

Also, something is up with the Transmission....its still shifts and drives great but when I dropped the pan for this last filter change, there were A LOT of bright silver shavings in the pan.

Seatbelt replacement
Is there anyway to replace the seatbelt on the front driver seat? It is extremely worn and no longer lays flat, it is also a pain to buckle. Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement belt and tell me how to go about replacing it? Thanks!

What are those codes? (Yes; I know I could look them up myself, but the board etiquette here at the Club is that the original poster lists their definitions when mentioning them, so as to increase the likelihood of getting help.) ;)

Re: More troubleshooting and fixing
Ok I replaced the front wheel bearing assembly with a timken bearing and the lights did not go off. The grinding noise is completely gone and the car drives well but I still have the Antilock, brake, and trac off lights on. So I brought it to a shop and had the codes read and it comes up with B1214 ...
