Re: Violent ride
age can be a factor when struts fail. Temperature as well. The rear struts on my 01 if the temp drops below freezing, they will bounce around like crazy. Once its above freezing its fine. I don't have air ride either. I work at a parts store and the only thing I have found aftermarket so far are air ...

Re: "Alternate shift mode"
I would. Just for good measure. I rode in a lower mileage 05 non s'charged. The transgo shift kit is a major improvement in shift feel over OEM. If mine had low miles I would have been dropping the cradle and doing the entire shift kit.

Re: "Alternate shift mode"
Did the shift kit. No sweat. Wasn't too hard at all. It's 90% better. I only have a slight delay 1-2 shift under FULL THROTTLE. So guess what at 165k I'm not going to be taking off full throttle often untill I have money to go through the trans. Thanks for the help folks!!!

Re: "Alternate shift mode"
Great info!! Thanks folks. I'm getting the parts next week, and I'll do it on a weekend. Mine doesn't "delay" 1-2 shift enough to even send a p1811 code yet. So if I drop the pan and don't see gobs of SAND aka:what's left of my clutches. I'll proceed, and advise as necessary.

Thank you for the heads up! I'm looking at the schematic right now. Makes sense.... Basically any trans shop worth their salt can check the other you stated. Should I have mentioned one of the cooler lines got slightly kinked? ::slaps forehead:: Ever so slightly though....

"Alternate shift mode"
Dumb question. This "adaptive shift mode"...... I aquired an 01 that had been sitting for a year. Hit in the front.... I did the repairs. Everything seemed fine... Well one time I finally decide to drop the hammer on the expressway and see what she has. Every time I take off no matter what kind of ...
