Re: water leaks
I wonder if the foam washers on the door card clips are meant to seal this water. They seem to be a soft closed-cell foam. Does anyone know? Maybe testing with the door cars off if a bad water test? I'll try that today.

Re: How To Repair Door Related Water Leaks.
I have another post just for this, but think it's worth bringing up here. My rear driver door is also leaking from the green plastic clips/receivers for the door card clips. No idea how to stop that. I also don't understand how all doors wouldn't do it--even from the factory--if one can. Ideas?

Re: water leaks
The other night I watered the car again for about 20 minutes before swapping parts from my 03 LeSabre with the Michigan Salt Defect that causes Saggy Butt Syndrome (SBS). (The Pontiac was ever driven in winter, so I'm modifying the back so it doesn't rapidly develop SBS.) No water in side, so I ...

Re: water leaks
the shop did the lines to the sunroof. I did the door water deflectors. The water now is coming in the cabin air filter. I duct taped the cowl to the windshield and duct taped the filter cover shut and ran a hose on it for around 25 minutes without water. if it's still dry tomorrow, I think this is ...

Re: 2000+ Common Problems & Solutions (updated 5.11.11)
I'm told cabin air filter leaks are common and have one myself. However, I'm not finding any posts about fixing that issue. Does anyone have info that could be linked here?

Re: How To Repair Door Related Water Leaks.
So, so helpful. Couldn't find the right butyl tape around here. Ordered some that worked, but wasn't quite as sticky. So, I called a mechanic friend who told me he always used the good spray contact adhesive. Seems to have worked as well.

Re: water leaks
I watched a few general videos on firewall water leaks. I checked the cabin air filter and it was soaked, but there's not a lot of debris around it. The cowl seal against he windshield is all cracked and broken. See pics. Could this be at least part of my issue? Not sure how else that filter would ...

water leaks
2001. Bought this almost a year ago and it collected water. I stripped it and waited for Winter to end. I found three of the doors had been worked on and their water deflectors were barely reattached. Fixed. Sunroof was leaking due to clogged drain. Fixed. Today I watered my car to see if my work ...

Re: Water Leaks
Just ordered three headline sample kits to see which will work best for me. Has anyone replaced theirs with suede? I'm thinking that could be nice. I need to do both my LeSabre and Bonneville.

Re: Water Leaks
I have the console out. The bolts I pointed out are two of the four; the other two are right below them. One of mine was missing, and whoever took out the console before me broke it's mounts on the left and didn't tighten the one of the rear bolts. So it goes.

Re: Water Leaks
Posted in another old thread this info/question. I just can't find any write-ups or videos of the center console removal.
This video is not about removing the console, but does show the dash bezel and I wonder if the two bolts at around 4:39 are two of the ones necessary to remove the console. Are ...

Re: replacing carpet. help please.
Necro. I think I found a video that shows the screws required to remove the console, but I'd like to verify.
around 4:39 are the two hex screws in this video the right ones?
How do you remove the shift cable and wiring? Do you have to pull the console cover like in this video and do it before you ...

Hey all. Dan here. I live in the middle of Michigan where our cars are like distressed jeans in a matter of a few years. I'm usually a B/D-body, LT1 guy, but good ones of those for what I'm willing to pay are hard to come by. Had a '96 Fleetwood for 9 years and wish we'd have just put some cash into ...

Water Leaks
I found two good write-ups here on water leaks from the doors( http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/interior/topic11470.html ) and sunroof ( http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/interior/topic1688.html ). I just bought this car and it sat out in the rain. Now the rear driver side door ...
