A/C not working, compressor not kicking on
I know I have blend door actuator issues as they creak when opening and closing but I’m wondering if a bad blend door actuator will actually prevent the a/c compressor from kicking on. A/C worked fine last summer but does not at first attempt this year.

I took both low and high beam shields out. Will try to take pics tonight.J Wikoff wrote:It's the high beam, so how it looks to oncoming traffic shouldn't matter.

Re: Removing reflector from high beam
Do you really think there is a noticeable difference? If you've only done once you could be able to notice a difference against a wall/garage door.
Yes, I have noticed quite a difference between the 2 up against my garage door. I can post a pic showing it. I'll try to get pics of how well it ...

Re: Removing shields from low & high beam
Did a little research and seems they are called shields, which makes sense.

Re: Removing reflector from high beam
Initial results are good after swapping out my drivers side headlight for the one without the “bulb covers”. Seems to be called a "shield". Not talking about the reflector mirrors. Drove home after SB and no dark spots from drivers side. I haven’t been able to get my passenger one out yet. Pulling ...

Re: Removing reflector from high beam
I’m taking apart a pair I got out of the junkyard. I got the 1st one done, took both reflectors out and sealed it back together.

Re: 2003 Headlights
My 02 headlights have a horizontal adjustment. I believe my 05 did not have this.

Removing reflector from high beam
Has anyone removed the reflector from just the high beam and had good results with either the halogen or and LED 9005 bulb? I see newer vehicles that use the 9005 for high beam don’t have a reflector. 2015 Chevy Silverado HD, 2014 GMC Terrain for examples.

This thread was very helpful. My “Trac Off” “Brake” & “Anti Lock” warning lights were all on. Changed out the ABS module/EBCM and the lights are all off. Thanks for the detailed description.

You are the man! Thanks again!harofreak00 wrote:You simply need to add a power source to that memory module. The memory won't work, but the but module needs power to be able to power the rest of the seat.
You will obviously have power at the large orange A4 wire, but make sure you have power going to A9 and B5.

Putting GXP seats in my SE that came with heated leather
My SE came with heated leather seats, manual recline and lumbar. I am putting in GXP seats with full power adjustments. Passenger seat works fine, but no power adjustments work on the drivers seat. The gxp seat does have an extra black module which I assume is the seat memory module. Has anyone had ...

Bought with 89k drove it back from Florida. Previous owner was a Michigan snowbird so I don’t know that it’s ever seen a Michigan winter. Had the 17” chromes on it but moms 05 SLE needed new rubber so I put them on hers and am currently running 17” Aztek wheels that I refinished in gloss black ...
