Transmission Woes?
So, today while driving, I accelerated and it barely shifted out of first gear, anyways, i made a video and put it on youtube, of my acceleration, so you can see for your self. It seems to rev really high, then start slipping, and clunk into second.
So far, I checked fluids, a little bit low, i ...

Re: Discharging Farad Capacitor
Just unhook the power and let it sit, it will discharge it self within an hour, probably under 15 minutes, but an hour to be safe.

Re: A real head-scratcher.
What is the model number of the JVC deck in the lesabre, and has this always been a problem or did it just start? What kind of iPod is it, touch? classic? video?
Re: Break's!
Haha. Stupid english.
Anyhow, that sound's definately like it could be the cause. I will definately get that checked out, its annoying not have 100% of my brakes on the first pump, as well as not being safe.

Sounds good, that will be added to my list of things to do on my day off.
Re: Break's!
And a completely unrelated break issue, My E-break lever does not stay down, it releases as soon as you push it in. I'm thinking some sort of release clamp/mechanism failure.
Break's!
My most favorite topic! (Not..)
I'm having a minor problem with my cars breaking system, I think its a problem anyway.
To start with, the rear shoes were replaced by a shop, and ever since then, I have had this problem.

Ok, so I did that part right, what about doing a flush and adding new fluid's?00Beast wrote:Have the car up on jack-stands and with the engine running turn the wheels back and forth 10+ times, top it off and do it until you stop dropping fluid level. Then check it a week or so later.

Re: Replacing Power Steering Pump Questions
While we are on this topic, I recently put a new pump in my car, or a rebuilt one I should say, and although the power steering works perfect, and the fluid is topped up, it makes a whine sound, is this just a defective pump? Or have I failed to bleed it correctly?

Aftermarket Gauges
Hoping that someone could shed some light on my questions here.

Re: aftermarket HU & stock amp/wiring/speakers
I think I know what your problem is, on the adapter you used to connect your new stereo to the factory wiring, there should be a blue wire, if its not hooked up to the blue wire that comes off of the new stereo, the amplifier will not know when to turn on.

Re: 6x9's on SSEi Factory Radio
I'm glad your happy with it, I have done many installs where the line level converter's work quite well, GM hasn't ever been to bad for those kind of setups, honda's are the worst for bass rolloff though haha

Re: 6x9's on SSEi Factory Radio
The factory systems are all known for "rolling off the bass" to protect the factory speakers, as you turn up the volume, and thats the downside if your running a sub amp off of a factory deck.

Re: Suspension CLUNK!
I thought this to, but the motor itself doesnt seem to move very much, and it only does it the first time shifting into reverse/drive..
and a addon note, Im noticing a bit of noise now from that same area when i go over bumps, almost like somethings loose and shaking..
