Nice Sunday

It's been a while since I've posted anything and it was a beautiful day Winchester, New Hampshire yesterday, so I thought it would be a good time air out the old hot rod and charge the battery. I few trips around the town and a quick clean up before putting her back to bed.

Re: Water in my trunk...

I've been fighting this for a while... The first thing to do is to find out if the lid is the problem or the seal. Get a turkey baster, remove the carpet and the spare tire cover. Now use the turkey baster to squirt water in the valley around the seal. Do it one side at a time and watch for water ...

Don't the Grand Am's run 3400's? They seem to be okay.... What usually fails?

I'd go for any year GMC Safari or Chevy Astro with the bullet-proof 4.3!
I was looking at a few Astros.... The 4.3 is a bulletproof motor.

Minivan advice.....

So, I've been tasked with the duty of finding a cheap, used, minivan ($5000ish) for my department at work. Any minivan's out there to stay away from?

Re: Problems buying used radio?

Careful.... I brought the dealer the list of 11 steps it takes to change the vin in the radio and an hour later and $80 they said "Huh, it did have the old vin in it...."

There's a reason why we call them a stealership....

Lug pattern

I'm shopping for winter rims for my step-mom's Envoy and I've found that it's an 8X18 rim with a +50mm offset. I called my GM dealer and they say all 6 lug bolt patterns are the same. Is that true?

Dad and StepMom's new ride

My Dad and StepMom traded in their 03 Yukon in on an 08 GMC Envoy Denali. The truck is NICE. It's got the 300hp 5.3L with Active Fuel Management. It's black on black, 4X4 with self leveling suspension and navigation. It's a pretty truck....

I have never seen Pete unshaven before... wow!
Uh oh, you better watch out Pete...

I was thinking the same thing... Sorry Tracy.... :bdoor:

The paint on Pete's car was awesome from the first time I saw it. It's funny, Pete's really into keeping the paint up on his car and the car ...

before i had 3 inch from the headers and the resonator removed and replaced with a 3". after that 3" it necked ...

Re: Supercharger oil

According to the owners manual it looks like they suggest you check and fill the oil level every 30k miles or 36 months. I'd use that as a guideline.
