Well alrighty then! Sufficient force resulted in getting the old blower out only to find that the replacement I ordered is not correct.
I ordered the 2002 version from RA. Going back to RA I saw a statement indicating it might need a bracket (sold separately of course).
Does anybody have experience ...

Re: HVAC Blower intermittent and noisy
Hello All,
Well I ordered up the blower assembly and finally got the right combination of weather and time to take this on.
1. It turns out I apparently have the 2001 version of blower assembly.
2. I actually found all the mount screw locations and got the assembly loose and dropped a bit.
3. No ...

Re: HVAC Blower intermittent and noisy
Thanks to all for the response. The pic in the thread provided kind of speaks to my suspicions and having to bang on it to get going is the current status. Guess I'll order up the replacement and see how it goes.
Thanks again

Re: New memeber - New problem
The MAF I replaced came from RA, I'll have to go and check which one I ordered. Hopefully There won't be a problem returning the defective one. I'll post up how all that works out.
Plan on putting the old MAF back in till the new one comes in. It was throwing a code but at least it was operational ...

On the flip side, all of those sensors and electronics all TELL you what's wrong as they self-diagnose themselves and most, if not all parts are simple R&R. And there are no adjustments to be made. The electronics do it all for you.
Agreed. However, even reading DTCs is only part of the solution ...

Re: New memeber - New problem
Welcome to the forum. I don't think it's a security system issue, since it starts then stalls.
Try unplugging the brand new MAF and see if it starts and runs.
Start and immediate stall regardless of gas pedal movements was my primary symptom.
New parts today are very often defective.
Sad but true ...

Re: New memeber - New problem
Thanks MKMike for the suggestion, will try that next.
However, the MAF was replaced a couple days ago and car ran and drove fine after the replacement.
Current situation occurred after replacing the fuel level sensor.

Re: New memeber - New problem
So much reading later I suspected the Security system was the culprit.

New memeber - New problem
Working on a recently acquired 2002 Bonneville ( non supercharged) with a variety of seemingly small issues. Was starting and running fine but with a code for MAF sensor, Oil pressure gauge reading 70psi while running, fuel gauge erratic and reading near empty at all times, Pass Rear window inop ...

Howdy from the windy west - Wyoming that is.
New to the forum but not to mechanics. These newer vehicles drive me crazy with all the sensors and electronics but I try to do as much as I can myself. Came looking for answers and hoping to perhaps contribute when I can
