Re: Another "no heat" thread...

I did some more goofing around with it and got some more information that may help figure it out.

-If you start the car with the heat on (90*), it will run with full heat as long as you want it to.
-If it's blowing hot air, you can turn the unit completely off, and back on and it will still blow ...

Another "no heat" thread...

Issue: The car blows cold air when it should be hot air, with the exception of a fresh startup, it'll blow hot air for 1-10 minutes. If you turn the temp down and back up, it'll be cold air.

Car History: I just bought the car with 130k on it. It had already been converted to EG (green) coolant. It ...

Re: Ever wonder what SE rotors on an SLE/SSEI looks like?

To be honest, the brakes felt fine... they were a little warped, but not bad.

Re: Ever wonder what SE rotors on an SLE/SSEI looks like?

Haha... it took me a few minutes. I wasn't familiar enough with the Bonneville trim levels to know that the SE had an 11" rotor and the SLE/SSEI had a 12".

Pretty funny stuff.

Ever wonder what SE rotors on an SLE/SSEI looks like?

I just bought an 01 SLE that needed a bunch of TLC.

I pulled off the front tire(s) and thought something was slightly off. After doing some research... some genius put 11" SE rotors on it. :bwhack:

Re: How to: 2000+ radio light fix tutorial (45pics)

I wanted to bump this thread for two reasons. One is to say thanks for the outstanding write-up.

Secondly, I used the 272-1154 bulbs from Radio Shack for the whole radio, and it worked very well. The brightness is probably a *fuzz* less than the factory setup, but satisfactory.

I wanted to include ...

Re: New to the Bonneville's

It seems to be functioning correctly. I cleared the code and it hasn't came back in 60 miles.

I plan to do a coolant flush soon, I'll replace the thermostat when I do.

Re: New to the Bonneville's

New shocks installed!
New outer tie rods installed!
Replaced the EVAP Purge Solenoid, SES light gone!

The shocks and tie rods were absolutely wasted. Need to get an alignment and some new tires this week, and she'll be safe to drive... I will still have some odds and ends to tie up though.

Re: New to the Bonneville's

Next question... when replacing the rear shocks, is it prefered to go with the "Max Air" air shock replacement? Or to go with a standard gas shock?

If going with an air shock, is there typically anything else that needs replaced? Air system wise?

Re: New to the Bonneville's

Thanks for all of the welcome's.

I'll start by listing the vehicles issues, and what I'm thinking... you guys can tell me if I'm on the right rack.

Fuel gauge doesn't work - ordering 15824379 from GM right now.
Rear Shocks are trashed - What's the preferred replacement?
Needs tires - Anything to ...

New to the Bonneville's

The wife and I just had a child, so we decided to pick up a Bonneville to supplement her Acura RSX.

Just bought an 01 with 130k on it. Needs a ton of work, so I'll be lurking and possible asking a few stupid questions.
