Both sides on my car had metal from the body rotting away in that area. The passenger side was very bad to the point where almost the entire corner of the floor was gone. I had to weld new metal in there and pretty much do the entire length along the sides of the floor.

Hey, I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to give me a picture of what is underneath the plastic trim on the side so I can repair mine. The metal under mine has pretty much been destroyed by rust so the side panels are held on by zipties right now.
