Back seat removal
Back seat removal
Anyone know how to remove the back seat in a 98? I've got the part that you sit on out but not sure how to take out the back part.

Re: Back seat removal
I think it's a few bolts that hold it in along the bottom, then it lifts off a couple hooks hiding on the back.

Re: Back seat removal
Taking out the bottom gives access to the nuts holding the seat back in place. Once these are removed, the seat back slides up and off.

Re: Back seat removal
Once those bottom bolts are removed and the seat slides up and out. If you're removing the rear seat to access the speaker shelf, it should pull out once a couple of push pins are removed. From there you'll have access to the speakers as they are bolted in from the top but wired in from the bottom. Access to the 3rd brake light is from below the shelf inside the trunk.
