uuuhhh, you just might do more than break a finger if you hadn't replaced the trunk struts, like a new nick name, maybe stubby? and learn a new dance too?
I scared myself once with a car that had a set of worn trunk struts. I replace them too, as fast as I could. - BC

Re: 1995 Bonneville: Bad idle, stalling, shaking, backfire
OK, time for the fun side of troubleshooting...
You have:
-new CPS
-new battery
-new MAF
-new EGR
It sounds like it's not able to maintain idle, which is causing the PCM to cut off the alternator. That's just a side effect of the issue.
Plugs, wires, coils, ICM, and fuel injectors need to be ...

Re: The end of an era.
Well if you listen to the Democrats, we will all be forced to drive EV's in just a few years.
Anyone still driving gas engine vehicles will be forced to pay HUGE insurance costs...... but fuel will be dirt cheap!
Did you know even putin/Russia joined the Paris Climate Accord?
That should tell you ...

Never really completely understood the logic used to stop production of the Avalanche. Looked to me like Honda copied the Avalanche and called it reinventing the truck. - BC

Update time.
MAF sensor was totally clean. Checked it and put it back.
No, I haven't checked the fuel pressure, but I am now reminded that I very much want to change the fuel filter as soon as the weather gets a little nicer.
I did an oil change that was way overdue and the car is running much ...

You should think about moving farther south or putting engine block heaters in you cars. When we lived up there, dad used an old electric blanket. - BC
