Air Bag Light and B0026 error code...

It was intermittent at first but is now always on. The code is for:
"LF/Driver Frontal Deployment Loop (Single Stage or Stage 1) Open"

Could this be the SIR coil in the steering wheel?

Any ideas on narrowing this down?

THANKS!

Re: Aux input on 00+ with Bose, Onstar & no cd changer .

Hawkjet, is there a similar device with RCA or 1/8" inputs instead of iPod. It is the same device but a different cable instead of the iPod cable. It is a simple matter to determine which pins are the audio input and splice into them. It's been long enough that I don't remember which pins, but I ...

Re: Aux input on 00+ with Bose, Onstar & no cd changer .

Does it also have a extra input for my satelitte radio or do I need to go a diffrent route? It will send the appropriate signal through the Class 2 Serial Bus to allow for an input that is different than the head unit. You can then have a selector switch if you want to choose from various ...

Tell me more about your harness. Is it used? How old? How much? Is it easy to install?

Re: 'Trac Off' and 'Anti Lock' dash lights

I had corroded wiring on the rear sensors of my 00. I replaced the entire harness to fix it. Strip back some of the insulation to see if the wiring is black.

I finally went to the junk yard and got a section of wire harness to splice in. I first cut a few inches back from the connector and found ...

Thanks for the help pointing to the drain. I tried taking pictures to post but the camera didn't focus in the right place. Even if it did, the drain was amidst so many other things, it was difficult to locate it. So the pictures didn't turn out. :???: I think I unpluged the drain though ...

Re: 'Trac Off' and 'Anti Lock' dash lights

I have narrowed down the source of the problem. It is the right front wheel. It has gotten to the point where I can cause the error by turning the wheel lock to lock while the car is stopped.

I disconnected the connector and noticed the contacts were corroded. So I cleaned both sides with ...

'Trac Off' and 'Anti Lock' dash lights

I made a round trip from northern California to Seattle. While driving through Seattle on the way there, my 'Trac Off' and 'Anti Lock' dash lights came on. When I shut down and restarted to get on the ferry, everything was fine again.

On the return trip this happened about four or five more times ...

Re: A/C evaporator drain

Some interesting developments:

The water condensing on the evaporator found its way into the blower motor. :sad5: I was amazed how quickly this caused corrosion and disintegrated the wires to the brushes.

I will be hunting down the evaporator drain and will post pictures. Also, I have rebuilt the ...

I don't.

You could get some other harness (that has the right pins) at a junk yard and steal the pins from the connector.

Re: RCA Inputs...

Ok I found my option. PAC makes a kit called the AUX-BOX, if I do the in dash upgrade to the c215 harness, and hook up this kit, it will give me the option to use the headphone jack style, or RCA inputs... and comes with a ton of connection harnesses for diff apps. Where can I get the CD changer ...

A/C evaporator drain

I just drove from Santa Rosa, CA to Seattle. On arrival, I noticed water on the passenger side front floor. It wasn't raining so it isn't likely a leak. It doesn't smell like coolant so I surmise it is condensation from the A/C evaporator.

Does anyone know the location of the drain tube?

I just ...

HVAC Blower motor repair/replace

Has someone actually removed the blower motor in a 2001 Bonnie? I have the instructions from AllData (or is it SomeData) and I can't get the motor/fan assembly to drop out. it is loose but there doesn't seem to be enough clearance. I read a few posts on BC and they seem to indicate it is a piece of ...

If you have an older H body, the OnStar is analog. OnStar will not support the old technology (because the cell phone companies it has contracts with don't). If you managed to stumble on an analog cell and called OnStar to subscribe, they ask for your VIN and will decline service when they discover ...
