Re: CAI and Mufflers?

I'm going to test this theory soon. I'm going to to a dyno pull before I replace the muffler, and after. Like I said before...I'm not nor am I expecting huge gains. Even on an F-body, the gains are minimal at best. I'm just looking for a little more hp and gas mileage improvement to make the the ...

Re: CAI and Mufflers?

I have always had a good experience with better flowing mufflers vs OEM on my F-Bodies. It seems that they were always food for few extra ponies on the dyno. Nothing to write home about...but still. Do the factory mufflers flow that well?

CAI and Mufflers?

So I'm looking to squeeze a few more ponies out of my SLE. Just wanted to see what CAI and the different types of mufflers that most members are using. I would like to keep the car as quiet as possible as far as the exhaust goes. Thoughts?

Re: Instrument cluster lights.

Finding an SLE cluster will be hard. There are a lot of SE and SSEI clusters but few SLE clusters. It took me 4 months last year to fine one. I picked up one from Schram for $95 including shipping. Send an e-mail to Schram and to Morad. I have purchased from both sellers with no problems at ...

Re: Instrument cluster lights.

Ok. I see now. Looks like a pretty involved fix. I might try to find a cluster at decent price. If not... I might try to put in all new LED's in my existing cluster.

Re: Instrument cluster lights.

Well I guess that might be what I end up doing. I might try to find a used cluster on ebay or something. Just seems like a big hassle just to fix a lighting problem. I might try to mess with old cluster to see if I can come up with a fix. If not...I'll just replace the whole thing.

Re: Instrument cluster lights.

Hmmm....well that kind of sucks. I wonder how difficult it would be to solder in a new LED?

So, what would be the best way to fix it?

Thanks.

Instrument cluster lights.

I think one of the bulbs for my intrument cluster crapped out. The right side of the speedometer went dim. Does anyone have the part number for the correct replacement bulb?

Thanks.

Re: Shift Kit

i would not recommend this kit. I bought and installed it and really didn't notice a difference. all this kit includes is plastic spacers. i would get an intense or transgo. they actually include springs like they should. i'm upgrading to an intense shift kit next time i change my filter. dont ...

Shift Kit

I just wanted to get some input on shifts kit's for the 4T65E tranny. I'm still learning my Bonneville and was looking to install a shift kit. The car just had a new reman tranny installed under warranty and my thoughts were a shift kit would give it a longer life this time. I was looking at this ...

Re: Amplified system?

Just a quick update:

I took a chance and ordered the GMOS-05 (non amplified interface). It turns out I was right, because it worked perfectly. I ended up going with the JVC KW XG-700 double din head unit. It looks and sounds much better than the factory unit did. The wiring wasn't too bad, but ...

That looks great. What interface adapter did you use? Was you factory system amplified or non-amplified? I'm wanting to replace my factory HU, and could use all the help I can get.

Nice! I'm quite certain you'd walk all over my Firehawk!

I love Firehawk's, way cool and rare.

I haven't ran it yet. I'm worried that the rear might go with a good launch and stickies. Next ...

Re: Newbie from Colorado

Your WS6 is badass!! Navy Blue Metallic is my favorite color on the LS f-bodies. Is it a 6-speed?

It's an auto (4L60E) It has a Trans Go valve body kit and a Yank SS 3600 stall converter. I had a 99 m6 Camaro SS. It was fun at first, but nothing beats a stalled A4 IMO. I rape 6 speeds all the ...

I checked the rear doors. I don't have speakers in them. I have two on the rear deck, two on the lower front doors, and two tweaters near the front windows.
