Re: Shifts rough... but not all the time..
I had the exact same issue on my 2000 Bonneville SSEi about a month ago. I replace the front transmission mount and the motor mount. That solved everything, the rubber motor mount was badly torn. They usually last about 4-10 years depending on how hard the car is driven. If the engine is loose and ...

Re: What kind of mileage do you get with your 00+ Bonneville?
In my 2000 Bonneville SSEi I use the 91 Octane premium fuel and get around 19 in town and 28 on the freeway.
Pretty good for a supercharged V6.

Re: GXP tailights?
Alright, I appreciate all the info. BTW, does anyone know of any tutorials on here on how to remove the center tailpiece of 2000-2003 Bonneville SSEis? I'm considering taking it off and removing the orange lens reflector pieces from it.

Re: GXP tailights?
Alright, alright. What about SSEi/SLE/SE tailights? I honesty don't think it would look weird with the original SSEi center tailpiece. The GXP ones would be nice, but at this point I just need a set of 2 taillights that will fit it. As long as they're from an 2000-2003 SSEi/SLE/SE Bonneville.

GXP tailights?
My tailights on my 2000 Bonneville SSEi have leaking seals and fog has been getting inside the tailight housing. Will tailights from a 2004 or 2005 Bonneville GXP fit on my SSEi. The seal is ruined because I tried to heat up the seal and remove the orange lens to make them clear. I know the GXP ...

Oh ok I have some of those blades, but they broke easily. Maybe I was pressing too hard. Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try.

Re: exhaust tips?
Will the exhaust shops be able to weld aftermarket exhaust tips that have screws on the end?
battery-operated or corded power drill? Or does it matter? what exactly do you mean by diamond cutting blades? Is the drill bit a certain shape?

Re: exhaust tips?
Exhaust shop? Would an auto parts store do the same for around the same price?
BTW, what did you use to clear your tailights? A battery-operated dremel? power drill? I'm having trouble cutting through the plastic.

exhaust tips?
Is there any way I can replace the exhaust tips on my 2000 Bonneville SSEi without replacing the whole exhaust system? Are they welded on the exhaust pipes? I'm fine with the OEM one, but the tips are really worn out and oxidized beyond belief.

Does the whole transmission need to be replaced?
Almost every time I start accelerating, my 2000 Bonneville SSEi jerks back for a second every time it shifts gears. The shifting is not nearly as smooth as it used to be. Occasionally when I go up inclined roads the transmission will stay in between gears and the car will rock back and fourth. It's ...

Engine issues?
Every time I have my '00 Bonneville SSEi key in the ignition in the ON position, all the dashboard lights come on for a moment which I understand is normal but the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light stays on, but then once I start the engine, the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light goes off. Is there something ...

Re: clear taillights?
I don't see a seal anywhere. I see the two halves but it's got plastic surrounding it with no room for a seal. Does anyone know of any pictures that could point it out? Is it tar sealant like on the headlights?

Re: clear taillights?
My power drill won't cut through the plastic and neither would my battery-operated dremel. Is there ANY way to get the orange piece out without cutting into it? Is there some other way to cut into it?

Ok thanks. But one more question, how do I remove the reflector bar that's over the back of the trunk door? There's an orange piece on that also.

Re: clear taillights?
Alright, now I'm confused. Are these 3057 bulbs white or orange? Doesn't the orange plastic just make the original yellow bulbs appear orange? If I get 2 silverstar 3057 bulbs and replace the original bulbs with them and then take the tailight apart and remove the orange plastic piece, what color ...

Re: Oil gage pegged?
yes I have 2 jackstands they hold up to 4 tons. Then I have a jack lift that holds up to 2 tons. So if the 2 ton fails, I won't have to worry about being flattened.

Re: Oil gage pegged?
I have a hydraulic jack that can hold 2 tons I normally use to change the oil and replace the oil filter. Would I be able to reach the sensor without taking off the passenger wheel and without replacing the oil filter?
