Re: Just Bought Another 2000 Bonneville, Gear Swap question.
Well as is, it shifts into either 4th or overdrive at 157ish... so i feel it would be a good thing for me. haa... And there isnt a difference between HD and Non HD gears.. is there? The SLE is going to be a daily driver (100 miles a day), so loss in acceleration is no big deal at all. Thanks for all ...

Re: Just Bought Another 2000 Bonneville, Gear Swap question.
Okay guys.. all I want to do is know if the 2.93s in the SLE will have a negative effect on gas mileage over the factory 3.05s... He had the 3.69s in the SLE as he was planning on doing a L67 swap, then he must have gotten sick or something because he went and bought a 04 GXP. :/

Re: Just Bought Another 2000 Bonneville, Gear Swap question.
I was under the impression that basically the only difference between HD and Non has to do with the diff? Sitting side by side, the 2.93, 3.05, and 3.69s all look interchangable besides the obvious diameter differences.. Sorry if i put this in the wrong section, it wasnt really performance..

Re: Which wires are speaker wires? and easy access?
If the amp is around the size of an Alpine PDX series amp, it should fit.. I'm thinking the only real area in the dash to hook up a reQ would be at the connector where the ribbon changes to wires, I think you have to remove the dash pad to get to the connector... All of that would be a lot of work ...

Just Bought Another 2000 Bonneville, Gear Swap question..
Hey Guys,
I just picked up a 2000 SLE from a buddy. It has less than 1000 miles on 3.69 gears, It also has a single chain, although Im not sure what size?
I'm wanting to put these gears in my 2000 SSEi, and put the SSEi 2.93 gears in the SLE to get better mileage than the factory 3.05s that also ...

Re: Dual Battery
BonneMe.. Do you care to explain how you think that adding 40 pounds in Front of the front tires is worse than mounting 40 pounds above or behind the rear axle?! I highly doubt he is extremely worried about handling if he is adding a stereo that draws enough power to warranty the use of 2 batteries ...

Re: Dual Battery
In my 2000 I have a Red Top mounted right in front of the drivers side front tire, right under where the air box would be.. I have the negative grounded to the transmission, while the positive is fused and runs to the Positive post on the alternator..

Gen 5 Supercharger and LIM. What's it worth?
As the title states, I am curious at to what these parts are worth. A fellow I know is selling them and doesn't know what to ask for them. Engine has 90,000 miles on it. We were thinking $350? Is this a good price? Are they worth less/more?
Thanks in advance guys!

Re: 2nd battery install.
I graduated from an 8 month course in Arizona to become a certified car audio installer. The only reason an isolator is needed is to prevent the system from draining the main starting battery. Put a fuse between the 2 (pos) batterys and you won't have that "time bomb" under the rear seat. Sure, put ...

Re: Speed Daddy Headers
This guy has em. I paid 220 for them off ebay, and they have been worth it so far, easy install and the quality looked good as well. The flanges were pretty thick, and the welds all looked great. The set comes with some *shoot* U bolt syle exhaust clamps, I ditched those for some Torqtites. Also ...

Re: will Grand Prix GTP headers fit 2000 SSEI!
I put speed daddy headers on mine a couple months ago, and the instal went amazingly smooth. The headers fit perfect, the only thing I had to do was get a little creative with the torch and bend the trans dipstick tube to where I wanted it. (Comes up between Cyl 4 and 6). If you end up buying the ...

ssei running crazy rich? & chugging
Vehicle is the one in the sig. It started chugging a bit last night on the way home last night. While watching the wide band and the scan gauge I saw that with the slighest application of the throttle (less than ten percent) the timing was being pulled to 9.5 degrees and the afr pegged to the ...

It is going to be awhile before I get anywhere on it. I am being sidetracked and spending my free time working on a program to produce an intercooler plate similar to the one the W body store sells..

Re: Just ordered my new sub set up
Please, for yourself, build that box 1 cube at the smallest. I built the .7 Alpine spec box with 2 12 R's in my 2k and Hated it. Yes Polyfill helped, but not much. Next box I built was 1.1 cubes with no fill and sounded a million times better. I now have a 1.5 cube vented built to speck that ...
