Re: PCM possibly going BAD????

I've used Denso, Bosch and Delphi for the O2 Sensor. Currently using the Delphi. I've inspected the wiring and I don't see any problems and It's not like hitting a bump or something causes this, it will occur at any given time, but usually 15-20 minutes into a drive cycle (not every drive). I did go ...

PCM possibly going BAD????

So I've been getting a P1133 code (3 different O2 sensors). I've been logging my drives and I'm pretty sure I've figured out why I'm getting this.

So I'm 99% sure the problem is that according to the log file the MAF readings and upstream O2 Sensor voltage along with a few other things are freezing ...

Re: GenV Tuning Question

The defouler was just to see if I could see any change to the upstream o2 sensor readings, and verify that it was working correctly.

It has since come back from the shop and they said everything looked good and was with in spec. It might be running a little on the rich side but not much. It seems ...

Re: GenV Tuning Question

Ok, I did have a leaking fuel regulator. I've replaced it and still have around -22 LTFT's I bought a spark plug fouler drilled it out and put the upstream O2 sensor in it to extend it and see if the numbers change. Voltage looks correct, bouncing around from .2 to about .9 volts and anywhere ...

Re: GenV Tuning Question

I thought maybe the fuel pressure regulator myself. I'm not having trouble starting and I haven't been able to get it to leak when I pull the vacuum hose from it.

Well after installation of the new MAF, Plugs and O2 sensor this is where I'm at!

I did a test this weekend looking for leaks using ...

Re: GenV Tuning Question

O2 Sensor is only about 2 years old and around 55K

I would have to double check but I would say LTFTs is around -18 or -20 during mid-throttle acceleration.

Just thru a P0172: System too Rich (Bank 1) fault yesterday morning.

I've got the new Jet MAF. New NGK Ruthenium plugs and and new GM ...

GenV Tuning Question

Guys, I'm running a series 3/GenV swap on my 2002. With an AEM dryflow air filter upgrade. I've been having problems with it running rich and fouling plugs. Do I need a MAF table tune for this? Seems like a lot of people have done this swap without getting a tune.

I did find a vacuum leak around ...

Well after a month we finally figured out it was a bad spark plug on the number 3 cylinder. Never would throw a misfire code!!!

Transmission Shifting and other issues getting a P0420

Ok, this is might be a little long winded, but I need some help from the Bonneville experts here.
2002 SSEI with a L32 engine swap. Currently at 167K

History, everything has been running well for about 40k and well over a year after the swap. after figuring out a few other minor issues. Then the ...

Re: L67 to L32 Swap, stumbling idle and P0172

Well, found the source of my stumbling idle :bwoohoo: after inspection of the new spark plugs, cylinder 3 look like it was rich. Changed the fuel injector and all seems better. Guessing it was leaking.

Probably should replace all of them!

Re: L67 to L32 Swap, stumbling idle and P0172

I'm assuming that is what the sensor is telling the ECM. I'm using the L67 MAP. Should I be using the L32?

I think I've answered my own question here. I looks like the L32 MAP sensor has a different type connector than the L67, so I'm assuming that I'm correct in using the L67 MAP.

L67 to L32 Swap, stumbling idle and P0172

Need some help, chasing my tail, sorta. I have completed the series III supercharged (L32) swap  to my 2002 bonny in place of my knocking L67 #-o

I'm getting a rough idle once it goes into closed loop with no codes until last night. Finally got a P0172 code. I've checked for intake leaks ...

Return fuel line vs Returnless fuel line

Can someone explain the difference and what would be required to use an L32 (series III supercharged) fuel rail on a 2002 L67 pontiac bonneville? I read somewhere that I would need to add a pressure regulator that is on the L67 fuel rail. What else is required? Do you block of the return fuel line ...

L67 to L32 Swap

Ok, planning on swapping in a Series 3 (L32) for a Series 2 (L67). I already have the TB adapter from a Series 2 to Series 3 NA top swap and I know that the fuel rails are different and a few other things that will have to modified. Fuel rail (return vs returnless) and ect.

What PCM should I use ...

Radio Interference/static when Rear Defogger is turned on

Let me say I appologize if this has been posted, but I couldn't find anything regarding this issue on this website. I've seen many times regarding other makes and models.

When I turn on my rear defogger the FM band on my radio goes to static and looses reception. I've seen a TSB for older grandprix ...

Re: Oil Pressure

I agree on the pissing contest of oils and wasn't trying to start a contest. :) Lol

Was more interested in the other thoughts of oil weight for older engines. I ran
Mobile one 5W-30 in my wife's Tahoe was still going strong with 220K + when she
traded it. I just wanted a few other opinions.

Thanks ...

115,000 Miles, Currently on the dealership oil change that I purchased it from.

I will be giving it an oil and filter change pretty soon. Any thoughts on 30 weight vs 40 for a

Was considering looking at 5W-40 for ...

Oil Pressure

Ok did manual gauge check on oil pressure.
20 PSI in Park @800 rpm NOT
15 PSI in Gear @650 rpm NOT

Seems to run 35-40 while driving.

Chilton's Manual says 60 PSI @ 1850 rpm

What do you guys think? Meets the general average
of 10 PSI per 1000 rpm that I've heard.

Do I have anything to worry about?

I just ran into the same issue on my 2000 bonny after an engine replacement. I broke the old MAP sensor and got a new one, after fighting the P0401 code for a week I finally put a manual vacuum gauge on the car and compared it to the Scanner readings. Turns out the NEW MAP sensor wasn't working ...

Re: 2002 SSEI RPM's Drop to almost stall condition

Well, I've changed the MAF sensor from my 2000 NA bonny with the 2002 SSEI bonny and I've noticed that my 2000 NA is acting somewhat the same as the SSEI was with the same MAF sensor. However the SSEI is still doing the same thing as before, I just don't know if it's as bad. One think I've noticed ...
