Problem 1--Ive got another problem with my 94 Bonneville. sometimes when i start it ill turn the key and i hear a pop then it doesnt start and it smells like something is burning then i try to start it again and it starts fine any ideas of whats wrong??

problem 2-- check engine light comes on ...

I have a 94 Bonneville i bought it two years ago and yesterday i replaced the alternator for the 4th time does anyone know why this keeps happening??

On my 94 Bonneville i have a obd2 connector but the tag on my car says obd1 certified. I have tried an obd2 code reader on my car but it does not work. just wondering if anyone knows why i have an obd2 connector instead of an obd1??
