Traded the bonneville yesterday. Sad day i'd say really. Was looking at an 09 Charger, but the wife wanted a 2016 chevy cruze. Went from supercharged to turbo, its a fun little car. Miss the bonnie though. Hope to have another in the driveway in the future!

Brake lines are my least favorite! Replaced the whole set on the avy a few months back. Headache

Yeah, i just figured out how to post pics in the thread yesterday. I like it. The interior was the selling point for me. Its huge and full of options. With the family, thats a big plus. You could get everything that the avy has in a silverado........but thats well out of my budget! Lol

So made a to do list and cost to get the bonneville proper again. After all is said and done, i will be into it for about $1k. I'm happy with that!

Thanks, I will have to try that. Only took about 15/20 minutes to remove the manifold, so I will probably do that again to make sure I can get the majority of it. Between sprays of course. Spray, remove manifolds, clean, replace manifolds and next step.

Why not fram? I just changed the oil and filter, has a fram filter. Ive always used them, and never had any issues. Just wondering, like to get others points of view. Plus if i can learn something in the process, thats always good.

1.Finish getting the interior back together.
2.Replace front hub and bearing assemblies(passenger side is going out).
3.Replace front brakes(rotors,calipers and pads). Making an awful grinding.
4.Replace bushings in front subframe, drivers side rear.
5.New trans. pan, filter, fluid and gasket.

Never had a vehicle smoke like that before on me. Also, never had a vehicle with so much build-up in it before! There was almost 1/4in of crud and oil residue on the lower heat shields! I got most of it off. Ive been letting it run on and off through out the day, does seem to be thinning out some ...

After replacing the valve cover gaskets yesterday, I started the bonneville to see it was still smoking. Today i took the exhaust manifold off, cleaned them and the exhaust ports. Also got down to the heat shields. Put it all back together and still getting good amounts of smoke, smells like burnt ...

Rear driver side of my front subframe is completely roached where the bushings sit. Both mounts are gone, and the frame on that side just hangs there. Anybody know where i can get one?

Valve cover gaskets done. Decided to clean them up while they were out. Post some pics tomorrow.

Finished valve cover gaskets, oil change and changed air filter. Found something disturbing when i was under the car changing the oil. Exhaust manifolds are still smoking, might be all the old oil sitting on them, dont see any fresh spots on the ground.
