Snow is the same as the rain when it comes down to it.
Why specifically do you want the engine bay cooler?
^ Good points, I'll try to elaborate some for everyone.
First of all, the snow and water alone is not the issue. The worry is that my car may be sitting for a day or 2 at a time this ...

Re: The hood scoop, part 2
If you did make it functional could u make it cutoff for when it was raining / snowing etc.
Interesting thought, somehow that idea completely escaped me. I just kept thinking up ridiculously complex plans. Might be possible, I'll have to work up a sketch, only issue is getting a good seal on the ...

Re: First detail ever, need some help
If your going all out with a detail make sure you pay attention to the headlights too. I use a little turtle wax polishing compound first and then some PlastiX (not sure of brand, I think its Meguairs). Bright, clean headlights go along way toward making your car look new.

a quick and crap job with photoshop 6 (old school), but you get the gist of the L88 idea

Re: Painting hood soon, thinking about a scoop?
After much delay I've finally had a enough of a break to find some options for my scoop, I've narrowed it down to these 2 options based on my taste and some ideas I saw on others cars (using a trans am scoop).

Re: Painting hood soon, thinking about a scoop?
^ very true. If your really handy you can always make it custom like alexcoqui or K-Otik's car. Also remember its your car and your style, if you like it thats all that matters. I don't want me to seem like I'm bashing it or anything.

Painting hood soon, thinking about a scoop?
Well, I'll soon be painting the hood of my '00 ssei, I'll post pics within the next two days, but my hood has water getting under the paint from the front edge at the center. The bubbles in the hood are starting to become very noticeable, so before I get a real rust problem I figured I'd do a ...

Re: omg this fool ruined this car what an idiot
LOL @ the black door panels and tan everything else.
I think the body work is tasteful.
I think tasteful is a stretch with the paint job and bumper. That said you have to respect someone attempting body mods like that and actually finishing them to certain degree, its a lot of work. The interior ...

Re: Trunk lid leaking?
Definitely sounds like a leaking spoiler. Remove it, seal the studs, and seal the base if you deem necessary. Also spray some silicone lubricant in the lock cylinder, it repels moisture.

Re: '00 gauge problems, tach and gas
Battery cables are fine, all the other gauges are working correctly. I was thinking bad ground, but the other time that was the case (with an old audi) I always lost a couple gauges at once and they all seemed to die and come back together.

'00 gauge problems, tach and gas
I have two gauges currently giving me problems with my 00 ssei and I need some expert advice on any possible causes (I'm drawing a blank).
First is the gas gauge, I'm not sure if it has read correctly even once yet, but it seems to be all over the place. When I first start the car, the needle will ...

Trunk lid leaking?
Earlier in the week I went outside the one morning to get into my trunk. I pressed the trunk release, heard the latch pop, and then, nothing happened. Long story short, I found the the lock was completely frozen, from the inside out. I used an extension cord and a hairdryer that morning to free the ...

Well here are the promised pictures, I ended up having a much longer and busier week than I what I expected. Had to take some time out for new plugs/wires and a thermostat on the bonnie too. My first mods...
Having just bought an '00 SSEI with 100k on the clock I've been thinking about some performance mods, I'm just not sure where the best place to start is, and what to buy in order to get the most bang for my buck. Sometime in March I look to have around $300-500 in my pocket and I was wondering If I ...

Hi all
Well I've been lurking the forum for a few days and figured It was time to join. Just picked up my 00 SSEI as my new daily driver. I've always been a fan of GM, and having driven my fiancees 04 sunfire for a few weeks and seen what a great, reliable little car it was, I had to opt for a Pontiac. The ...
