Looks sharp!
I hope I can track one down soon for myself.
Congrats on the purchase. Money well spent.

Re: Methanol/water injection
What is it about an intercooler that is so standout from water/meth injection? A lot of users of injection are die hards and swear by it. It's also very healthy for your engine, thusly prolonging the life of the engine, and adds quite a bit of horsepower when applied correctly. I'm still curious as ...

Re: Methanol/water injection
I'm not planning on installing it on my current '95. I'm hoping to purchase a new Bonneville, 00-03 most likely and that's where I was looking to apply it.

Methanol/water injection
What little bit I've found on injecting a S/c 3800 has said that's it's pretty hit or miss and hasn't been tried to many times. If anyone has any knowledge on the subject whatsoever it's be great if you could throw it on here. There's a lot to gain from injecting an engine, at least on other ...

Re: Check Engine Light
You need one. Plain and simple. Anything else you do is throwing money at a problem, hoping for a fix.
Well I'm looking to upgrade to an 00-03 SSEi so if I purchase something it will need to be compatible with both. I've been looking at the Aeroforce line. Which one would be the best? I want to ...

Re: Sensor question
I've posted about it on several threads and didn't want to be repetitive. When the car is cold it will stick in first up to high rpms and then shift roughly and it also doesn't go into overdrive. After it warms up it shifts perfect without any issue.

Sensor question
Is there a sensor that controls the clutch or the shifting of the sensor. The reason I ask is because I still haven't solved my tranny issue and I'm not convinced that it's actually the transmission going because once it does shift into overdrive, it drives perfectly fine, pulls strong through the ...

Re: Just bought MY first bonnville
Geez you got a heck of a deal. I've been searching for an SSEi with low miles and the best deal I've found is one with 75k and they want ten grand!

Re: SSEi vs GXP
Yeah I knew some of the stuff was interchangeable. Is that the case if I get the '02?Blown93SSEi wrote:You could also get an 03 SSEi and swap out GXP parts like the taillights, spoiler, interior carbon fiber trim, suede insert seats, headlights, Etc.
I think Andrew has that done on his SSEi plus more....

Re: SSEi vs GXP
An 02 with 75k?
Yeah, and it was driven by a couple in their 60's. It drove like a dream and the backseat looked like it hadn't been sat in even once. I'm not to excited about the color, mainly because it's almost identical to my '95. I'll see what I can do with a negotiation of the price tomorrow ...

Re: SSEi vs GXP
Haha you guys are swaying me toward the SSEi. The Northstar is what really scares me of the GXP. Silver bullet do you have any info on water/methanol injection? Possible thread? I didn't realize anyone had done it already lol. Everything I've read seems positive about injection. How has your ...

Re: SSEi vs GXP
I definitely like modding. I was considering a possible methanol/water injection with the SSEi. I'm interested in the GXP because it's cosmetically appealing and newer but the SSEi is appealing in it's own right and has the opportunity for mods. I just don't want to make payments on something I ...

SSEi vs GXP
I'm looking to buy a new Bonneville sometime soon and I've found a couple of good deals recently. One is an '02 Bronzemist SSEi with 75K miles loaded leather sunroof etc. for somewhere around $9,000. The other is an '04 GXP with 88K miles and all of the same features for $7,900. I'm a bit partial to ...
