01 stock SSEi. exhaust pipe/ Y pipe, cannot locate
Hi
I have a 2001 SSEi stock.
I noticed today while changing the license plate bulbs that the "Y-pipe" pre- mufflers has a rot hole in the split and may need replacing next inspection.
I went online and cannot find the part to get a price (and potentially order)
does anyone have the info?
thanks

01 stock SSEi. Can i add just an intake?
I have a stock SSEi '01
96k miles
I'm not very mechanically inclined, but looking to beef it up a little
1. Can i just add an intake system? Or do i need to modify other parts to avoid damage or issues?
2. suggestions on an intake
Thanks

it could have cracked when belt snapped or when replacing tensioner
either way i learned something and car is fixed.

Re: Stalling, just replaced belts and tensioner- GARAGE IS L
Thanks for input.
I called to get exact code and they said it was fixed.
Vacuum line under supercharger had a crack in it
had to splice and fix
seems good

Re: P0420 wont go away!
I don't know, I paid to have someone do it and they ordered the part.
I took it to my regular mechanic to have things assessed.
He said looks like an aftermarket "performance" cat was used. The code is most likely due to the cat.

Re: 2001 v 1996 MAF
I wasn't able to find the specs on the MAFs.
What are the differences between them and what could result from using the wrong one?
Since i swapped mine,
I haven't driven the car with any major significance. (maybe 10-15 miles)
Currently I don't really see a difference (maybe it appears slightly more ...

Re: 2001 v 1996 MAF
I put 96 MAF in my 2001. No problems, hard to tell if it runs any different but no codes or anything.
The stalk on the 2001 was longer, but the metal filament thing is in the same location.
Now the 2001 may not fit in the 96 due to stalk size, however the 96 is working in the 2001.

2001 v 1996 MAF
Can I use a MAF from a 1996 Bonneville 3800 on my 2001 SSEi 3800?
Part numbers (AUTOZONE) are 2001 – DL-3011, 1996 – DL-3012
The screw holes and plug both line up, look identical EXCEPT the 1996 has a shorter plastic piece that goes into the intake vs the 2001.
Now the 2001 SE and SSEi share a MAF ...
