Re: Any painters hanging around here?

I still wouldn't hesitate to add one of them little desiccant filters right at your gun just to help minimize the water just that much more. They're like ~$10.

Plastic welding with the metal mesh is excellent. Problem plastic to reinforce it is also about the best way to go. Sounds as if i shouldn ...

Re: Any painters hanging around here?

Haven't been on here in a while, but Ed send me the link to this thread on Facebook & figured i could lend a couple words of advice.

Cleanliness and prep work are both keys to a lasting, glossy, clean paint job.

I'll give you a couple variables when it comes to prepping and cleaning.

When it ...

So, if i take a wrench... and just ever so slightly back the tension off just a hair... all the squeaks and squeals dissappear. & the belt rides towards the center of the pulley.

Re: Mom's '99 SE Belt Squeal.... Video included!

Wow, that didn't take long to annoy me... anyway, I found a video once on youtube that would tell you how to diagnose belt squeals and it involved spraying fluid on different spots of the belt. Someone shared this on the Cherokee forum and I used it once. Looks like according to this video you have ...

Re: maitnence ideas

Basically, just keep up on your maintanence. Keep your oil changed on time, Keep a clean air filter in it, keep your spark plugs/wires up to date, not sure the mileage on plugs/wires. i'm sure someone will chirp in with the common maintanence sticky.

Re: LIM gasket job on the '99, (Heads up for FEL PRO GASKE

Personally, I was surprised GM did not just use RTV to form a valley gasket (that's what you do on the 3100 v6).

See I thought the same thing, as that is what they also did on the 4.3. Since i did that, i've had no problems, and I just put together that 4.3 this past august. No issues with the ...

LIM gasket job on the '99, (Heads up for FEL PRO GASKETS)

Yep... Was time to do the LIM gaskets this weekend.... when I noticed that the overflow tank was bone dry. the tank ALWAYS had the correct amount of fluid in it. checked the radiator, was down about 5 inches. So, I went and bought me a LIM set, and a UIM gasket (money was an issue, plenum still good ...

Re: My '96 S10 Blazer..... P0102 and P0122 Gremlins.

Thats really strange...

It was most likely bad connections. Me and my buddy were fumbling around with the MAF connection, it was quite dirty. The TPS, i have no idea. Just gone. Now for the heck of it, I turn on the scanner right before i start the truck. Only code is PO113 ITS high input. No ...

ITS GONE!?!

All i did was check voltage at the TPS and MAF. Plugged them in, put the scanner on (typically because you would need to clear the codes to start it every time, but they wouldn't clear) and they cleared. they havent came back. no light ...

Re: My '96 S10 Blazer..... P0102 and P0122 Gremlins.

It just doesnt make any sense...... I spent 5 hours going through the wiring harness.... followed the wiring from the plug for the TPS all the way back to the ECM..... didn't find anything
