Quit making me crave a 9th gen!!
Anyways, very clean. I love seeing minty cars of the 90s-2005 era. Keep up the good work.

Re: Heads up display SWITCH removal
I don't have a HUD so i dont know for sure, but if I remember correctly, you will need to take off the dash bezel. This is the big piece of plastic that wraps around your gauges and extends down to the HVAC controls.

Re: Found a possilbe purchase
Your case sounds very similar to my own when buying my bonneville. Mine had a blinking check engine light (misfire), transmission codes (max adapt shift), multiple EGR codes, gas cap code, dirty as sin, and overall just in rough shape. Approx $150 later, it was running and driving smooth with only 1 ...

Door lights and DIC
Im having this problem where sometimes the car doesnt recognize that a door has been opened. The lights will stay off and the DIC doesnt say anything. The next day everything will work fine. It seems to happen most with the passenger side doors, but all of them have done it before. Do they all have ...

Re: GXP swaybars worth it?
nope. at least my 05 SLE didn't. Don't think it was an option for them either, but I could be wrong.xrob wrote:Did the 2004-05SLE with the GXP kit get the sways and front and rear struts?
btw - 2005 was the only year that SLE's had GXP styling. 2004 had the normal SSEi style.

04+ GP Gauge Needle Swap?
So next weekend Im going to a giant junkyard with my grandpa to get some parts for my cousin's GP. I was wondering if the needles from the 04+ GP would swap into my 05 SLE? i think they would look cool in my car. If they would swap, would they need any modifications to fit in there. I heard ...

SLE has trouble starting
Could this be a common problem? Yesterday i took my car to school, started and drove fine. After basketball practice, i started it and drove a few blocks to pick up food, perfectly fine. When i came out from the restaurant, it just cranked. Tried it for at least 5 minutes, with using the gas pedal ...

Try leaving the battery disconnected for a few hours, or over night. A few minutes like you said might not be enough to do it.

Re: Lots of Moisture inside of car
Coolant level has dropped from where it normally sits in the reservoir, and yes there is a weird smell when the heat is on. and i apologize for the weird wording - it fogs in the garage too. so it fogs everywhere. mostly on passenger side.

Re: Lots of Moisture inside of car
Thanks! Ive already fixed the trunk leak, the door leaks, and all sunroof drain lines work good yet. Figured i should add that there is a weird smell in the car sometimes (like antifreeze, kinda sweet).
Thinking its the heater core? How hard would that be to change out?

Lots of Moisture inside of car
So for the past probably 2 or 3 weeks my entire interior of my car has had tons of moisture in it. Every window is completely frosted/fogged over after i start it or after getting into it. Beads of water accumulate on my rear window, and even the bottom of my seats and carpet just feel kinda moist ...

Engine Block Heater
So the subzero times are upon us up in the north. All of our other cars have a block heater but mine doesnt. Was a block heater an option on any Bonneville or other 3800? Im looking to put one in, and didn't know if it would be my best bet to grab one off a different Bonneville that had the option ...

Re: 2005 SLE died and wont start!
Alright! My grandpa came up to where i live yesterday and figured out what it was. When we installed the HID fog light setup, we attached the positive to the underhood fuse panel. The nut that was supposed to hold the HID positive wire tight had come loose. We tightened it back up, and the problem ...

Re: 2005 SLE died and wont start!
Ok, thank you for all the help. I got some more info.
It was not dead. My dad hooked up the booster machine and it said my battery was nearly fully charged. I turned the key and it started right up and ran normally. When i switched the headlights from low to high, my ABS, Trac off, and Brake ...

Nope no crank. I think the battery may be dead though, as my dad got it to crank while I was at school. It died after 10 seconds and wouldn't crank after that.

2005 SLE died and wont start!
So I got into my car this morning at 5:30 AM to go to morning basketball practice. I started it up, went back inside to do a few things before I left and gave it some time to warm up. I came back out and got inside to a nice warm cabin(what i set it to). Started to drive out of our long driveway and ...
