Re: Constantly running AC cooling fan but no Primary fan

Thanks for the response, Randall. I am hoping it is just the fan motor. Good thing about my Dad being a pack rat. He has his LSS he wrecked 8 years ago in his back yard.

I am currently not driving the car. With the 90+ temps my Neon has been driven due to it's ice cold AC.

Constantly running AC cooling fan but no Primary fan

I haven't driven the LSS in a while for a long distance, but the other day when sitting in traffic/drive-thru I noticed the temp gauge going higher than normal. Normally while driving around, the car would rarely go over 190 (I have a 180 thermostat). It probably hit around 230+.

When it went up ...

Looks great, Joseph! I think they fit the Lesabre perfectly. Completely changes the look of the car for the better.

Re: Crude photoshop, but looking for opinions

I think they look great in the natural color...but I am probably partial since I used to have them on my car.

I get tired of seeing bigger wheels on these cars. Bonnevilles seem to look great with 18s but I think the Lesabre looks perfect with 16s. In my opinion it's not worth the money to pay for ...

Re: Went and got an ecobox

The tunes do improve the mileage, and give the car way more punch. I've heard nothing but good.

This is correct. My old Sonic with the same 1.4t had a Trifecta tune in it. My mileage barely improved (maybe .5-1 mpgs), BUT once you drive on the increased boost you will understand. It really does ...

Those wheels really help that 88. I almost bought a set a few months back and am now regretting not doing so. Looks great!

Re: My 1998 Olds LSS

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, the seats were probably what I was most excited about. Considering the previous owner certainly neglected the car in many ways, I was surprised the seats cleaned up as nice as they did. And yes, they are so comfortable.

The car is by no mean fast. But, it is much ...

Re: Moar Olds

Doesn't look too bad. That was the color of my Dad's 97 LSS. That color looks great with the LSS 5 spoke wheels. Hope you get it gpong soon. Take some pics of the progress.

My 1998 Olds LSS

Well...not much to look at, but here it is. I still don't know what I am going to do about the exterior. The paint on the trunk is completely dead (almost looks like a primer) and the hood is not far behind. Under the fuel door, the paint is chipping. A few dents here and there, but really decent ...

No pics right now. I am too ashamed lol.

I might clean it up a little and take some pictures of the "good" side of the car.

Re: Moar Olds

Looks like a great parts car if it doesn't work out as a decent daily driver. If I had the funds for a full color change, I would probably do silver, as well. It doesn't show dirt too bad and it looks decent after it starts to fade. Cooler in the summer, too.

Are you going to try to use the seat ...

Re: P0300

Have the intake manifold gaskets been replaced? If not, it is a good idea to have that done and certainly won't hurt. Mine were cracked and I believe they can contribute to misfires. Just an idea.

Re: Manifold Gaskets Leaking

I have not seen a kit that has everything. But rockauto.com is a great place to buy from. They carry all of the upgraded gaskets and elbows. Really easy to find parts on their site and they have pictures of almost everything. Fast shipping.

Re: Going to have to give her up

Nothing wrong with the LT trim. A part of me wishes I would have skipped on the moonroof/pleather/etc but it was a nice car that got a bunch of compliments. There aren't many around here which I like. I rarely drive trendy cars.

I will send you a message later on.

Re: Going to have to give her up

Yeah, going with the naturally aspirated 1.8 with the automatic is a bad choice. If you get the turbo 6M you will be fine even stock...but the tune is cheap and turns it into a completely different car. Without sacrificing MPGs. I actually got better mileage after the tune when I stayed out of the ...

Re: Going to have to give her up

I had a LTZ turbo 6M hatch and loved it. I would still have it but my wife is planning on staying at home next year so we had to cut the car payment/insurance. Deceptively large inside and plenty of room. I am 6' 1"+ and 210 and almost felt small driving it. Chevy did a much better job than with the ...

Re: Power Log Header and Crossover Pipe?

I know everyone on here will say to skip this stuff and go straight to headers...

I am going the PLOG route/DP because I am not planning on going extreme with my build. Plus, I can buy the pieces one at a time which is nice for those of us with limited funds.

A bonus is that this route seems to ...
