Missing ashtray
As some of you know, I bought a Galaxy Silver 05 GXP. I took it to get the suede inserts cleaned, and the car detailed. Got the car back home, the ashtray was missing. Went back, nobody knew anything about it. Also, one of the metal lug nut caps is missing. ??? Does anybody have these 2 pieces they ...

Re: Northstar Front Engine Mount
That's good to hear. I'm gonna try the hose clamp method until I can get another mount for it. It worked well on a drag car we used to run, until we got solid mounts for it.

Re: Fog Lights?
Just replaced my drivers side fog light. What a learning experience! *dang*!! I made the mistake of taking the WHOLE retaining clip out. Bad move on my part! I fished out the little holes that hold the pins to the clip, that took a little while. But altogether it wasn't too bad. I'm going to have to ...

Re: Northstar Front Engine Mount
Hopefully I can work thru the cons, and make this a good driving, dependable car. I'm taking it to Bristol Motor Speedway in August. I definitely need to get the shimmy out of it. Its getting all 4 tires rebalanced, and a 4 wheel alignment this Saturday. I was looking on Auto Zone's site, they have ...

Re: Northstar Front Engine Mount
Also, I was just online reading about the pros and cons about owning a GXP. Then I read about the front shimmy in the steering wheel between 65-70 mph. Mine has this shimmy too. It feels like the right front. I had the tie rod ends and front suspension checked out. All is good. They did recommend ...

Northstar Front Engine Mount
Got a 05 GXP a few weeks ago. Took it to Good Year and Firestone today, and a front engine mount needs replacing. They want $470, for Firestone, and $514 for Good Year. The book time is 4.3 hours. How much trouble is this mount to replace? Anybody have pics on how to do it?

Re: Gonna need your guys' help
Its like a medium blue. And yes, they're 6000k. Its a hid kit. It looks pretty easy to install. And I'll give taking the cluster out and see how that goes this weekend. Thanks for all the help. I like this car. It seems not a lot of people are in the know when it comes to a Bonneville GXP. I took a ...

Re: Gonna need your guys' help
Thanks for the thread about the fog lights. I see they're going to be a pain too. I was online looking for blue fog light bulbs and came across a blue xenon kit, with adapter bracket. It's made for the GXP, and I think the blue would look good with my Galaxy Silver, and soon to be tinted windows.

Re: Gonna need your guys' help
Ok, thanks guys. If I tap on the the lens, the lights get brighter. I will get in touch with the guy on here about a new cluster. GM said I can either get a new one, or send the old one out for repair. I'll check with the guy on here first, and have the dealer install it.

Gonna need your guys' help
As some of you know, I got a 2005 Bonneville GXP. And yes, the instrument panel is jacked up. The oil pressure gauge is inconsistent. The tach is too. The voltage, Speedo, fuel and temp gauge seem to be working fine. I drove it for the first time at night last night. The tach is very dim at the 12 ...

Re: Floating gas gauge
Thanks a lot. I don't think the dealer put a sending unit in the thing. Now to find some GXP floor mats for it.

Floating gas gauge
Ok, I bought a 2005 silver Bonneville GXP. I like the car. Its a very unique ride. I love the handling, for such a big car. But there's a problem. The gas gauge doesn't read accurately, it floats a lot, saying full when it has a quarter tank. The dealer put a sending unit in it. Still does it. What ...

Re: What to do first?
Ok. I'm getting the GXP next weekend. Anybody know where I can get GXP floor mats? The dealer has their floor mats with the dealer name on them in the car. I sure don't want them in it. I see a few companies have NFL team floor mats. If I can't find the GXP mats, that's an option.

Re: What to do first?
And get better gas mileage. I installed SLP's CAI on my 2000 GP GTP, and picked up 4 mpg! And talk about throttle response! And you could really hear the blower whine! Didn't feel as big of a difference on my GTO.

Re: What to do first?
Thanks for the info guys. Since there's not much I can do to pump up the power, I'm not going to get it. 275 horses is kinda weak. I'll stick with my 500 HP GTO.
